Prologue
(Naruto’s POV)
*Four Years Ago*
“Iie, Sakura!”
She’s dead because I couldn’t get to her in time! The only person I had ever loved is now dead. I left to go and tell Sasuke and Kakashi.
They weren’t happy with the news that I told them, especially Kakashi. He knew her better than anyone else, except me. It was like a blow to the stomach, except it would take longer to recover, way longer.
*Present Time*
I woke up and realized that it was only a nightmare. That means it didn’t happen! I ran all the way to her house to see her. But then, I remembered that Sakura actually died. The reality set in and left me to wander around aimlessly.
Me: How was that for a beginning?
Naruto: Huh? Why did Sakura die?
Me: That will remain a mystery.
Naruto: But why did she have to die?
Me: Because…
Naruto: Because why?
