Gaara walked slowly home, alone. When he got in the door he shrugged of his cloak and went to the kitchen. Temari was in there making a snack for him.
"Hi Gaara! How was your day?" She asked smiling and gave him the snack. Gaara took it gratefully.
"It was okay," He mumbled back to her. Temari frowned and looked at him, he looked awfully sad.
"Are people bothering you again?" She asked softly. Gaara shook his head and hopped of the chair, walking to his room.

He sat on his bed hugging his teddy bear to his chest. His teddy bear, his only friend. The only one who didn't think he was a..... His eyes began to water, he blinked trying not to let them fall. He hugged the teddy bear harder and buried his head in it. Someone knocked on the door, it was Temari.

"Gaara? Sweetie, talk to me," She said gently. Gaara shook his head, not looking up from the bear. He was too ashamed. What would she think when.....
"Gaara, I got a call from your sensei today. He said you tried to hurt some kids after stealing their ball," She said. Gaara flinched, that's not what happened.

"I didn't do that!" Gaara said in a muffled voice. Temari put a hand on his shoulder.
"Gaara, I know you didn't. Please tell me what's going on," She said hopefully. Gaara brought his head up and looked at her with teary eyes.
"I was j-just trying to give b-ball back!! They r-ran away and called me a m-monster," He sobbed pitifuly.

"Gaara, tell me, are you a monster?" She asked. Gaara shook his head and wiped his eyes.
