We were going to enter the Chunin Exams. The day I met him. Naruto Uzumaki.
He was kind of short. He had three lines on each of his cheeks and spikey blond hair. He wore his headband on his forehead and he was so confident in himself.
He was wearing his orange and blue coat, with the white around the collar, and orange pants.
Having meant him, I decided to challenge the Uchiha on his team. Maybe I could get to know him better AND learn how to defend against the Sharingan.
So I challenged Sasuke, but Naruto came first. Maybe if he hadn't been so mad about me wanting to fight Sasuke instead, he would have fought better.
I remember when I was in the hospital, before my surgery, he came to see me once. He told me that he couldn't wait for us to go on some missions together. I couldn't either.
Then he came to the dojo I'd built, and he even got my first challenger, who turned out to be Gai-sensei, to come.
He and I used to train together too, like when I fought 100 of his Shadow Clones to practice my Taijutsu while he practiced his jutsu.
It wasn't much longer after that that he left with Master Jiraiya, one of the Legendary Sannin, for training. A two and a half year trip.
Recently, he's returned. Actually, I've just returned from my latest mission, the one where he seemed to be, making his comeback.
I think they're getting a new member to their team sometime soon. Oh well. As long as I can still hand out with Naruto and go on missions with him. I miss his smiling and laughing.
Besides, his new outfit is pretty hot!
