I remember the day that I crossed the line from child to adult. I remember that day oh so clearly. How can I not, it was painted in blood? Each cry imprinted on my conscious, each body forced in to my memory.
I can still see them sometimes; I space out and let my mind drift. I suddenly see them; bodies twitching in death, limbs flung and protruding at odd angels. Sometimes all it takes is a smell that triggers all the memories. But most of the times, all it takes is that name.
Itachi, the savior.
Itachi, the murderer.
That basterd that won the hearts of the village; and then tore it out and ate it for breakfast.
Oh yes, I can still remember that day oh so very clearly. The day I lost all my family, the day I became a protector, the day I learned to unleash my power. The day I met Naruto.
