Chapter notes: This is an adaptation of the first Duel Between them because this one would take FOREVER! Hope you like it!
Jaden drew a card, and said, "I summon, Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack mode! Now I throw down two face downs and end my turn!" Aster nodded, and drew a card, "I summon, Elemetal Hero Clayman in Defense mode!" Ezra fell over, and said, "Huh? Since when did-" Chazz said, "Everyone know's. You just decided to skip Aster's Duel." Ezra said, "With who?!" Fabia said, "Ezra, we didn't want to distract you from your work, so...................." Ezra looked from Fabia to Chazz, and said, "With who!?" Fabia kissed him on the cheek, and gave him a small whine, "We didn't tell you about Aster's Duel with Zane.............." Ezra fell over, and said, "I know they dueled, but.............Let me guess, Zane kicked Aster's butt!" Fabia said, "No." Ezra fell down again. Chazz sweat dropped, and said, "Dork." Fabia helped him up, and he said, "Why didn't you tell me? I could've made up on the homework." Fabia pecked him like a chicken would peck bird feed, and did this many times before saying, "I'm sorry." Ezra smiled at her, and said, "Of course." Jaden called to them, "Hey! When you two are done, this poor boy here is trying to make a move!" Ezra smiled, and looked at Jaden, "Sorry! Aster, make a move! Jaden, avenge the fallen!" Jaden said, "Uh, who's the-Oh! Okay!" Alexis said, "Uh, who is the fallen?" Ezra said, "Zane." Fabia laughed, and Alexis saw her two friends cheering for Aster on the opposite side of them. Alexis said, "I'm going to go have a word with those two." Syrus, Tyranno, and Bastion all held out their hands. Syrus, with a Ra Yellow jacket, [he had beaten some Zane fangirl and upgraded], said, "Nu uh! You aren't going anywhere! We know you just wanna sit closer to Aster!" Alexis sat down, blushing. Ezra laughed, and Jaden said, "Now I play a face down!" He threw up his first, and said, "Reverse Equipment! Now, since you summoned a monster with 2000 or more defense points, I get to play an equip spell that's on my side of the field, and if I can use it's effect, then I get to! Spark Blaster!" Aster said, "What?" Ezra smiled, "Great move." Fabia said, "Why is that?" Ezra smiled, "You know how Clayman has 2000 defense points, right? He only has 800 attack points. Sparkman has 1600 attack points." Fabia smiled, and a voice said, "So, what's going on? You decide to take your relationship in public?" Ezra turned around to find Kokoro and Aura. Ezra smiled, "Where have you been?" Kokoro said, "Didn't you hear? We were out taking on the heartless in Hyrule." Ezra slapped his forehead, "Darn, another good time missed. Maybe I should just quit on being a pro." Kokoro looked at him confusedly, and said, "Huh?" Fabia smiled, "His life is being taken over by homework, since he wants to be a pro." Aura smiled, "But weren't you the one who took Zane out without trying?" Ezra smiled, "Correction, I wasn't trying the first move, but then I started to try." Aura, Ezra, and Kokoro all laughed, leaving Fabia confused. Ezra said, "I beat Zane one time. That makes him one of my rivals! And since Jaden is a rival, that makes Aster my rival!" Aster heard this, and said, "Not true. You're an amateur. Do you actually think I was trying when I beat Zane!?" Ezra smiled, "Ahh, temper temper." He took a seat next to Chazz, and folded his arms, "I have the next Duel, Jaden!" Jaden nodded, and Aster said, "I play a face down, and end my turn." Jaden smiled, "I draw! Now I play, Polymerization! To fuse Avian, Bubbleman, and Sparkman, to form Elemental Hero, Tempest! Now attack!" Aster was down to 2000 life points. Everyone cheered, and then heard a voice, "What the heck is going on? Some kinda party?" Ezra looked back, to find someone looking very much like a person from Organization Rainbow. Ezra and Hinata made their Keyblades appear, and Ezra said, "What are you doing here! Are you Xemnas, or Pain?" Ezra began to run up, but Aura stepped in front of him, "No!" She took out a sling shot, and shot it. It hit Ezra in the hand, and he shook it, "OW!" The cloaked man threw his hood down, and said, "Am I an enemy now?" Ezra smiled, "I see. Shadow, what's your true name?" Shadow smiled, and said, "Shawn." His straight, blond hair waved as he let it fall. It came down to his mid-back, and Ezra secretly scoffed. He didn't dislike blond hair, but everyone he had met with blond hair besides Ino thought they were so great. Shawn said, "So, what is going on?" Ezra smiled, and held Hinata back, "Jaden is just Dueling a pro." Shawn smiled, and said, "I see. Aura, do you want to watch this, or do you want to come with me?" Ezra was confused, and Aura smiled, "I'll go with you." Shawn nodded, and said, "If you see Akako, send her to me, alright?" Ezra nodded, and as Shawn walked away, Ezra said, "Shawn." Shawn looked at him, and said, "What?" Ezra smiled, "God luck. That secret opponent is outside, aren't they?" Shawn smiled, "Yup. Actually, Aura, this is why I wanted you with me." Aura looked at them confusedly, and looked at Ezra, "What do you mean?" Ezra shrugged, "All I know is that there's some massive energy outside somewhere. Be safe." Aura nodded, and left with Shawn. Ezra said, "Uh, could you confirm this for me?" Kokoro said, "Huh?" Ezra looked at her, and said, "Are Aura and Shawn a couple?" Kokoro nodded, and said, "Yeah." A scared look appeared on her face, and Ezra said, "What is it? Something the matter?" Kokoro said defensively, "N-No! Why would there be?" Ezra shrugged, "Because of that look on your face. You looked terrified of something." Kokoro gripped where her heart was, and said, "Ngh..........." Ezra said, "What is it?!" Kokoro said, "N-Nothing, it's just that the Darkness is reacting to something." Ezra nodded, and Dark came out of his body, "I feel it to. I bet it's your old master's." Kokoro nodded, and said, "Yeah. I should go prepare." Ezra smiled, "I'll help. Just like last time." Kokoro nodded, and said, "Yeah. See you then." She ran off, and Fabia said, "Like last time?" Ezra nodded, and said, "You know after we came to Hyrule, and we split up to search for the enemy?" Fabia nodded, and said, "Uh huh. Why?" Ezra smiled, "Well, I was followed by Kokoro and her team, and we fought against these two evil guy's who had possessed Kokoro's little brother." Fabia gasped, and said, "Did you win?" Ezra shook his head, "Sadly, no." Aster said, "I draw! Now I summon, a new Hero that has never been seen before!" Jaden said, "What?" Ezra was in awe, "You don't mean............" Aster smiled, and put a card on the field, "Destiny Hero, Double Dude!!" Jaden said, "Wow! I didn't even know those existed!" Ezra shook his head, and said, "Wow! Now I really want to Duel this guy!" Aster smiled, and said, "You won't after you see what they can do! I play, ground shake! Now I change all monster's on your side of the field to defense mode! I select Tempest, and now I play, Shield Crush, crushing one monster in defense. I destroy Tempest, and attack twice due to his effect!" Jaden made it down to 2000, and they made a stale mate. Ezra fell down, and said, "Tell me that didn't just happen." Fabia helped him up, and said, "It did." Ezra smiled, "Don't be. Jaden!" Jaden looked at him, and they smiled at each other. They both said, "Get your game on!" Aster smiled, "Aww, how cute. You two should be brothers! But I end my turn with a face down." Ezra smiled as Jaden drew, "Hey! If you have it, I know how to play a great move! Just use the card I gave you!" Jaden nodded, and put a card in his spell and trap card zone, "Card Switch! Now, I select a monster in my deck. And now, I select a person who can fight. In the room." Aster said, "What does that mean?" Jaden smiled, "You know, martial arts, stuff like that, right? I choose, Elemental Hero Burstinatrix, and choose Ezra!" Ezra smiled, and disappeared. Fabia looked around for him, and Jaden said, "Now, Ezra turns into a card! And I get to Special Summon him!" Jaden took the time to Read Ezra's ability, and put Ezra's card on the field. Ezra appeared, and looked around. Fabia said, "Is he stuck like that?" Ezra shook his head, and said, "Just for the Duel. Or unless I get destroyed." Ezra had 4000 attack and defense points, and smiled at Double Dude. Jaden held a card in his hand, and said, "Now I play three equip spells! Keyblade!" Ezra's Keyblade appeared in his hand, and Jaden said, "Super Saiyan 2!" Ezra went Super Saiyan 2, and Jaden said, "And Kaio-Ken!" Ezra used Kaio-Ken, and Jaden said, "Now he's bumped up to 7000!" Aster smiled, and said, "I play my face down, equalizer! Now Double Dude's attack points are equal to Ezra's!" Ezra smiled, and whispered to Jaden, "Do you have that card in your hand?" Jaden nodded, and smiled, "Wanna fight for a while?" Ezra nodded, and Jaden said, "Now I attack! Go Ezra!" Ezra ran at Double Dude, and double Dude dodged, and kicked. Ezra punched, and Double Dude flew backwards. Then, Ezra charged a Kamehameha, while Double Dude charged an energy blast. Jaden said, "Now I use the Quick spell card, Hidden Power! Now Ezra is bumped up to 7100!" Aster said, "Why so little?!" Ezra smiled, and released his Kamehameha, "Because I don't have much hidden power." The Kamehameha enveloped Double Dude, and he was destroyed. Ezra smiled, and then two Double Dudes came onto the field. Ezra said, "What?!" Aster said, "Because you destroyed Double Dude, these two tokens are on the field." Jaden smiled, and put a face down on the field, and ended his turn. Aster was down by 100, leaving him with 1900. Ezra smiled, and said, "We can win on the next turn, Jaden." Jaden nodded, and then Aster said, "No you won't!" He looked at his hand, and smiled, "It's over! I sacrifice one of my Token's to summon, Dasher!" Ezra smiled as Dasher came onto the field. Jaden said, "What will that do?!" Aster smiled, "Nothing yet. Now I sacrifice another token to activate Dasher's ability! Now he is upped to 3100 until the end phase. Now I activate, Doubler! Now I double my monster's attack points. Giving him 6200. Now I activate another doubler, and now you die!" Ezra was destroyed, and Jaden should have lost, but he was still standing. Aster said, "How can this be?!" Jaden smiled, and said, "Because I get another chance if I would lose if Ezra was destroyed." Ezra said from the stands, "Uh, Jaden. That effect also end's you if you end your turn without winning." Jaden fell over, and Aster said, "But you won't get that turn! Because now, I play second attack! Now you lose!" Jaden fell over, and his cards flew out of his deck. For him, they turned blank, and Ezra said, "NO!!!!" Jaden landed, and slipped into unconsciousness. Syrus and Tyranno picked him up, and Ezra said, "Why you.............." He gritted his teeth, and said, "Aster Phoenix! Your the next on my list!"
