The rooftops of Konohona are quiet at night he thought.
“Yo, El Capitan” shouted a man jumping next to him from the roof behind.
“Shhh, Scorch you idiot, you trying to wake up every damn Jonnin this side of the great Naruto bridge.” A second man already next to the first said
”Oh leave him fixer….you forget this was his home once too”
“Yer Fixer” a fourth man appearing next to the 1st said
“That’s only because you want to fight everything Sev,”
“Well J’tar. What d’ya think?” Scorch said.
“I told you, call me Blitz dammit!” the 1st man said under his breath
“Sorry, sorry, Blitz,” after a couple of seconds he knelt down next to the 1st man and asked “Well? You still intend to go try and blend in down there?”
“I was never an exile, I simply left.”
“Ye but what if someone recognizes you, you left when you were 12, 5 years ago, there’s still going to be plenty of the same Ninja there,”
“I know, but before I had short hair and looked like a kid,”
“Yer and you were ANBU when you left and you had that” He pointed to the white bandana with a red skull on the front covering Blitz’s face.
“True” He pulled it off to reveal the face of a young man with long dark hair two dark pupils and stubble that made it look like he hadn’t had a chance to shave that day.
The other men all dressed in standard ANBU clothes with swords but each with very custom masks and headgear. The one known as scorch wore a mask that looked like a clown, Fixer wore a simple black mask with a red cross on the forehead and Sev wore something along the lines of a balaclava but with a zip over the eyehole.
Blitz looked at the moon as a wolf howled.
“Let’s go” he said.
“Yes sir”
“Mkay boss”
“Hm.”
And with that the four Ninja disappeared in to the night.
The next morning a 17 year old blonde buy ran full speed down the streets of Konohona knocking people flying as he went.
“AH!! I’m late, I’m late, I’m late, OW!!” he shouted as he tripped head over heel into the gates near the 5th Hokages office. Picking himself up he started to run up the stairs towards Tsunade the 5th Hokages office, the day previous he had promised to help show around a Ninja who had requested to join Konohona’s ranks and seeing as they were low on skilled Ninja Tsunade accepted straight away. Naruto barged into the Hokages office knocking Shizune who was stood behind the door over, he turned round but fell on his back on top of The 5th’s desk, Naruto jumped up and went to apologize to Shizune but to his surprise a tall, young, man with black pupils and shoulder length black hair was already helping Shizune to her feet and even more surprising, Shizune was blushing.
“Naruto” Tsunade said coming out from behind her desk and clasping a hand on the young mans shoulder “this is the new Ninja I was telling you about his name is Blitz”
“Blitz?” replied Naruto still slightly stunned.
“Nice to meet you Naruto even where I come from we’ve heard your name,” Blitz shook Naruto’s hand smiling, he had a genuine smile but there was something else behind it something Naruto couldn’t put his finger on.
“Naruto” Shizune spoke up still slightly red “Tsunade would like you to show him round the village oh and also take him to his apartment later on, we had the one that’s been empty at the bottom of your building for a long time made his” with that Tsunade showed them both out. They stood outside the office on the staircase near the faces of the previous Hokages, Naruto with his hands behind his head staring lazily at the face of the third, Blitz watching him, after a few seconds Blitz turned to look to then after a few more moments turned back round to Naruto saying,
“He was a great man the third,”
“Hmm?” Naruto gave him a strange look and Blitz quickly corrected himself.
“I mean, that’s what we’ve heard, where I’m from, he’s well known.”
“Ah, ye, he was a great guy, but Tsunade is a great Hokage too.”
“Yes, she seems like a nice person and her assistant,”
“Well, you must be hungry, you like ramen?”
“Who doesn’t” Blitz laughed
“Alright!” Naruto yelled happily “hey, what did you mean by Shizunes nice too?” asked Naruto with a puzzled look on his face. Blitz laughed and walking down the stairs with Naruto turned to him and said “I see Konohona doesn’t give lessons in women either”
A half hour later Naruto was on his 3rd bowl of ramen while Blitz sat next to him laughing to himself as he watched Naruto demolish the contents of the bowl.
“So, Naruto, what’ Konohona like?”
“It’s not so bad,” Naruto put on a bored expression “actually some times I wish it could be a little more exciting, its been so long since I’ve done a really dangerous mission or something like that,” he turned and smiled at Blitz, “but I’m sure you wont be bored, Tsunade didn’t say much, but I’m guessing since your 17 same as me that your at least Chunnin. Blitz stared at Ayame’s back remembering 5 years ago 1 week before he left the village he had come here and Ayame had kissed him on the forehead saying congratulations for becoming Jonnin, but now he was back to pretending he was Chunnin knowing full well the skills he had could match a Jonnin or higher.
“Yer, yer I am.”
“Ah, well I just became Jonnin,” Naruto smiled “so don’t worry you wont be too far behind with me,” Naruto laughed and Blitz smiled and said
“Thanks, good to know,” suddenly a voice bored sounding voice from behind spoke up above Naruto’s laughter saying.
“Well, well, well, look what we have here,” Naruto and Blitz both turned round Blitz thinking someone had recognized him.
“Long time no see…..”
