"Just bring down the knife," a voice in my mind did say,
"You can get him back, don't let him get his way,"
The voice is revenge, with a heart so cold.
A heart left to die, covered in mold.
But a voice, called Reasoning, couldn't let revenge win.
He struck Revenge with the golden dagger of truth, winning in the end.
The voice of beauty gone wrong, Vanity enters the scene.
Smiting selfless acts, destroying the dream.
Cursing the ugly, she does nothing right.
And then comes Inner Beauty, with a fight.
"Vanity I beseech you, go away. You are not wanted here; You Shan't stay."
"But I shall, my dear, I can and I will. Nothing you say, or do, will put me a stray. You may knock me off track; but i'll find my way."
And so a fight ensues, and as i may say, Vanity takes a loss.
Though it may have been a draw. And they're powers equally matched. We'll see a day where they're path's once again cross.
Greed takes the stage; and does everything but good.
Then Generosity teaches a lesson that should,
Be known to all; and for all to know.
That shall be the moral of this show.
That selfish acts do nothing, but hurt.
And though evil is a great flirt.
You should strive for good, and selfless acts.
As to stop evil, in it's tracks.
