Watching as cities turn to dust

As the water turns from blue to green

And people lose each others trust

I watched as empires fall

and kingdoms rise

as bombs exploded

I saw the element of surprise

I see the tears of young girls

the cries of the dead

And hate becomes pollution

as the waters turn red

But then I shake the glass figure

and catch a glimpse of hope

and I see everything beautiful about the world

As it's lacquered with snow

And then I see the spring time

where the people join their hands

Where life starts to make sense

And everyone understands

I see the summer, full of life

See the trees swaying in the breeze

Then death comes with autumn

And the earth starts to freeze.

And then I shake the globe again....

I know it's been a long while. I haven't had a reason to write. Life has been going pretty well for me. I'm now writing songs.
