What a fine day to walk down the aisle sang the orchestra
As the parade of the finest maids danced down the floor
Just another down sweep of the bow
And the soon to be wed entered the door
What a fine day for a wedding sang the booming chorus
Chiming in the orchestra says "yes indeed"
As the crowd sat, basking in the sun on this joyous,
Most wonderful day.
Everything was going accord,
Even the birds seemed to join in on the event
Even the tiniest mishap was more than they could afford
Soon they would know the lies of true love
Little did they know what came ahead
As the skies started to cry, and the trees howled
With a dark abyss bringing this wedding into a place of dread
Then an weary calm took the land
And the skies came crashing in
Bringing disaster caused by the wind
And black rain dripping off the brides face
Brought prayers to bring this storm to an end.
Snapping pedestals, falling priests
Crying brides maids
Brought this family to defeat.
And then this unfortunate mishap unfolds
Turning the sky from awful colors of gray
To the beautiful reds and golds
That this wedding was meant to have
And so the music starts once more
And the chorus preaches to us once again
With more vigor than ever before
Because true love prevailed in the end.
