His Legacy Prologue //The Daughters Two - In the Beginning

A man of good in height walked down the street, holding his right hand was a little girl who walked with him. Along his left side, another little girl walked with him, she looked exactly like the other little except for a few things. The girl holding the man's hand had strait blond hair pigtails. The girl on the left had spiky blonde hair that seemed to naturally be that way. The girl on the right wore pink and red shirt and pants. The girl on the left wore black shorts that were khaki style of length and black shirt with an orange imprint of a seal on it, a true seal. The girl on the right seemed quiet while the other...

"Otou-san are we there yet?" She asked in a rather loud tone.

The man had spiky blonde hair and pristine blue eyes six whiskers on his face. "Mikaru, we're almost there," He told his daughters.

"Mikaru-chan, don't be so loud," the other girl said.

"Why not?" Mikaru asked cluelessly, getting odd looks from people passing by who saw what was on her shirt.

The girl on the right looked up to the tall man in the orange and black outfit. He laughed and said, "There's nothing wrong with being loud... It's the hyperactivity I'm worried about." He mumbled the last part to himself. It was then they came to a large building where children were being taken inside. A Chuunin approached the man and said, "Rokudaime-sama, what brings you to the Academy?"

"Just escorting my daughters to school," The Rokudaime spoke.

"I was not informed that you had more children enrolled," The man spoke as if he knew everything.

The Rokudaime let out a good laugh and said, "This is their first day, they have Iruka Sensei."

The man's eyebrows seemed to disappear when the Hokage referred to Iruka in such an honorific tone. It only made the girl on the left smile a big grin. The girl holding her father's hand was still quiet, unsure of what to say or do.

"I expect they will be perfect students like Haku-san," The Chuunin spoke.

"Perfect?" Rokudaime asked when he finally composed himself, trying to hold back more laughter. If there was some Haku was not, it was perfect. The boy must have been very good at hiding his pranks. Practical Jokers were in the blood after all.

"It was good seeing you Dozu-san, I wouldn't want anyone to say my daughters were picking up any Hatake-Lateness," He said with a smirk as he walked with his daughters inside. Inside, students were walking to their classrooms where the Chuunin Instructors were waiting outside. It brought memories back from a long time to the Rokudaime.

An older man approached the Rokudaime and said, "Naruto-kun, it's been a while."

"Hey Iruka Sensei," Naruto said with a wide grin.

"So these would be the students you talked non-stop about?" Iruka asked getting strait to the point.

"Hai, Uzumaki Mikomi and Uzumaki Mikaru," He said obviously proud of himself.

"Hello," He told both girls.

"Hi," Mikomi said so quietly, it almost sounded as if Hinata was speaking.

"Yo," Mikaru said.

Mikomi let go of her father's hand, almost uncertain-like.

Iruka squatted and said to both girls, "Why don't you go take a seat inside the class." He was not shocked when he saw Mikaru grab her sister's hand and ran while dragging with her into the class room. "Mikaru reminds me of you," He said and turned only to see Naruto was already gone.

The two girls meanwhile had taken their seats, though on opposite ends of the class room. Mikomi sat at the top row in the middle of two other girls... Aburai Ayumi and Xia Xu. While Mikaru on the other hand sat in a row on the opposite end of the room in the the middle seat as well, without anyone. To her credit, two boys asked if the seat was taken... They seemed to have debating as if they were unsure if she was safe to be around. The first was a boy of average height with short black hair and light purple eyes. While the other, the boy was a little bit taller and he had silver hair that seemed to defy gravity with a pair of lazy dark gray eyes that almost seemed black.

Other girls in the room kept on giving her the evil look. "What's with them?" Mikaru asked, only to receive looks like she had just grown a second and third head.

"Your not a fan girl?" The silver haired boy asked nervously.

"Of what?" Mikaru asked.

"Finally!" The purple eyed spoke. "Those crazy girls keep giving us crazy looks and whispering about being our girlfriends."

"What's your names?" Mikaru asked.

"Yours first," The silver haired boy asked.

"Uzumaki, Mikaru," She said proudly.

"Hatake Sakumo," Sakumo spoke.

"Hyuuga Ramana," Ramana told her.

Suddenly a girl walked over to the desk where the three were at. "Sakumo-kun, Ramana-kun who is this?" She said with a pouty look on her face.

"Uzumaki Mikaru," Mikaru answered for herself

Sakumo had a very bored expression on his face. However, one had to wonder if it was a genetic trait. "This won't end well," He mumbled under his dark blue mask.

"I wasn't talking to you, ugly," the girl spat.

"Get lost Maya, we were in the middle of a conversation with our new friend," Sakumo spoke up.

"But Sakumo-kun," Maya whined.

Across the room, three girls watched intently. Ayumi, Mikomi, and Xia watched the scene play out.

"Who's that girl in between Ramana-kun and Sakumo-kun?" asked Xia.

"My sister," Mikomi told them.

"That's your sister?" Xia asked.

"She looks like a boy," Ayumi told them.

"I guess Mikaru has boyish characteristics," Mikomi admitted. "Especially with the pranks she pulls."

"Oh man, then she has a better chance to get with either of them," Xia spoke out.

"I don't think she would, Mikaru doesn't like boys like that," Mikomi informed them.

"And how does she like them?" Ayumi asked.

"As punching bags," Mikomi admitted.

After the last word was uttered, the last of the students had walked into the class room and so had Iruka Sensei closed the door. The first day of class had been a getting to know you day but before class was over, it began to rain and Iruka informed them, they couldn't leave until their parents picked them up.

It was almost 4'oclock and still no one had come to get Mikaru, Mikomi, Sakumo, and Ramana. Mikomi was quietly watching her sister and her sister's new friends talk.

"So your father was chosen as the new Head of the clan?" Mikaru asked.

"Yes, it's said that the Rokudaime threw out almost all of the Hyuuga clan traditions, and in an unorthodox manner chose my father as the new head." Ramana explained. "Even though my father married outside of the clan."

"What's your father's name?" Mikaru asked as Sakumo eyebrow went up.

"Hyuuga Neji," Ramana was a warm smile.

"Okay your turn Sakumo-san," Mikaru volunteered her other friend as they talked about their families, a way to get to know each other.

"Hmm," He said and gave a very characteristic look like he was about to say 'I'm not inclined to tell you that'. "My father is the Copy Nin Kakashi, my mother... Is a Jonin here. I have a sister, nothing much to say."

Ramana went, "Pfft, I told more than that."

"We'll eventually get you to talking Sakumo-san," Mikaru said with a wide grin.

"Your turn Mi-chan," Ramana spoke, proud of his little nickname for her.

"Let's see, I have a twin sister, Mikomi, over there," She said with a head nod. Mikomi only blushed and looked away. The boys just shook their heads. "We have an older brother, he already graduated from the academy and is a Genin right now," She divulged. "My father is," She began, only to hear the door open.

"Ramana," A woman called. It was a somewhat tall woman with brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair was in a pair of buns and she wore a style of clothes that seemed odd in style to her and over it, was a green vest.

The Hyuuga stood up and said, "Hai." He quickly turned to Mikaru and said, "We'll finish this tomorrow."

"Alright," Mikaru nodded, before she actually knew where Sakumo went. It was then Ramana left with his mother.

Sakumo stood infront of Mikomi and asked in more of a demand, "What are you doing?"

Mikomi's face turned bright red. "Um, well I..." She began.

It was then another woman came in, she had long golden hair that was in a low loose ponytail. Like Sakumo she wore a mask, though her hair covered part of her face. What one could could see was golden eyes, like molten lava. "Sakumo, time to head home," She spoke.

"Forget about it," Sakumo spoke walking past her. "See you tomorrow Mi-chan," He said and waved to Mikaru> as he walked towards his mother and they left together.

The two girls sat quietly, staring at the door as it crept open to reveal a young blonde woman with blue eyes. They immediately jumped out of their seats and ran for her.

"Where's Otou-san?" Mikomi immediately asked.

"Paperwork," The mother spoke.

"That sucks," Mikaru said in a dreading tone.

"Yeah it does," The mother told them. She looked to Iruka Sensei and said, "Thankyou for staying out for however extra time it took."

"It is not a problem Fuu-san, the last of the other students have just left," Iruka Sensei told Fuu.

The woman was Mist Missing Nin. It was well known that many opposed the Hokage in choosing to marry a Nin that could have intentions to harming them all. Something that seemed to have lessened greatly since the birth of the twins. "Come on, time to go home," She spoke in a soft voice. "Tonight we're having ramen!"
"Again?" Mikomi groaned.

"What's wrong with Ramen?" Fuu and Mikaru spoke in unison.

His Legacy Chapter IThe Uzumaki Household

For the last few years Mikaru, Sakumo, and Ramana had been as close as a three man cell would be. Mikaru was their only female friend, seeing her as the exception to Sakumo's theory that all girls were insane. Where most girls put their energy to chasing after the boys, Mikaru put that kind of energy into training and sparring with Sakumo, Ramana, and other boys. The three walked into the class room, one after another and took the same seats they always did.

Mikomi meanwhile sat with her special friends. She bickered with them more than actual talking, mostly in reference to her tomboy of a sister she had. After all, Mikaru was best friends of the most popular boys in school. Whether or not people noticed, outside of class, she had friends that consisted of adults or already Genin such as Hatake Shinsei, Sakumo's younger sister. She was considered a "genius" having graduated at the age of nine.

When the class was completely full, the closed shut and Iruka Sensei spoke up. "Today is your final exam, which will decide if you graduate and become Genin," He informed them. "The test will be over the Bushin no Jutsu and the Henge no Jutsu." He started calling names alphabetically, by the end of it, there were only two left... Like there always was. "Uzumaki Mikaru," Iruka Sensei called.

Mikaru stood up and followed the Sensei out of the room and to another. She watched as Iruka Sensei sat down next to another Chuunin. She knew who the woman was, it was one of her old man's former students. The woman had always been nice to her and told her tomboys were so much better than others.

"The transformation technique," Iruka Sensei told her.

Mikaru nodded and using enough chakra said, "Henge no Jutsu!" With that she transformed into Iruka Sensei in his current state. When she heard the word 'good', she returned back to her original and natural state. She had spent her early childhood training intensely in the Academy Jutsus with her own father so she wouldn't have to face the problem of constant failure in the academy.

"Bushin no Jutsu technique," the female Chuunin informed Mikaru.

With that Mikaru got in position and called, "Bushin no Jutsu!" With that, there was the appearance of Six clones. She noticed the instant gratification of both senseis, the smiles on their faces as the clones popped. Mikaru took notice maybe she had over did it.

"You pass," the Chuunin spoke.

"I give you pass as well," Iruka Sensei said as Mikaru approached the table. He presented the Forehead Protector.

Mikaru took it gladly and left the room and quickly tied in place over her forehead and walked out the door. She saw students with their parents but there were several things she didn't see... Sakumo, Ramana, or her parents. She walked away from crowd. Mikaru knew very well that Sakumo and Ramana went home, and knew that her parents were probably busy... It was led her to the swing.

"You know, I came here, every time after the test..." A voice spoke. "I watched as all those people went home with their parents and I..." The voice had a twinge of sadness, possibly a little bit of regret. Though, there was something akin to happiness in his voice, like he was happy for whatever had happened in the past.

"Didn't have anyone... Did you old man?" Mikaru finished off as she looked up to see her father behind her smiling at her. "You got us now," She told him. Mikaru could never begin to understand her father but there was something she understood, she would never simply abandon someone. It must have been the raising she had enjoyed the whole of her life.

"That I do," a much older Naruto spoke with the hugest grin he could have on his face. "Where's your sister?"

"Taking her test," Mikaru answered. Like clockwork, Mikomi came out of the building sporting her forehead protect around her neck. "Isn't it supposed to go over her forehead?" She asked, obviously trying to hide her laughter. Naruto meanwhile, he just smiled on.

Mikomi managed to get to the tree before others attention was taking to see the Hokage was there. Like thin air, he was there and then he was not. The same could be said for his daughters.

"So, old man, do we get some training tonight?" Mikaru asked with a big grin.

"Hmm," Naruto said seemed as they pondered on their brisk exercise through the village. "Don't need the future Hokage getting slow do we?"

Mikomi was quiet, like she always was. She didn't seek out training with her father. Mikomi had one inspiration and that was to be a Medic, and so, had already sought out Sakura-sama and made a deal with her. That she would be an apprentice under her once Mikomi had graduated from the Academy. A small smile played on her lips as she thought about it. Tomorrow she begin her training.

"Earth to Mikomi!" Mikaru yelled once they stopped grabbing the back of her sister's green kimono top. One thing she never expected was her twin sister to idolize Ero-Sannin enough to dress like him. So Mikaru deducted that her twin sister was a "super pervert". She would have to worry if she found any porn in her sister's room... Not that she would look.

"Hmm?" Mikomi asked once she was grabbed. She had been so focused, she had noticed they were at the Uzumaki compound. It was something that hidden outside of the village itself and in the forest. The compound was nothing like the homes of the other clans, hidden in some of the densest trees, very difficult to get to. Only those who know what to look for, knew how to find it.

The three walked into the small clearing that led towards the compound that seemed much more modernized than others. Outside an ANBU Black Ops soldier stood.

"Haku, what did I tell you about that?" Naruto called the man.

"Sorry Dad," The soldier said as he pulled the mask off. "I just got off," He said revealing the face of a 17 year old. Haku had strait short blonde hair and pair of pristine blue eyes. Obviously he got his looks from his father's side, at least that's a first assumption.

"Ah your home," A woman called to them from the front door. The woman, Fuu stood at five foot. She had shoulder length dirty blonde hair and aquamarine colored eyes. Upon first inspection, one would not think this woman could have ever been a Konoichi in her life. In fact, she was a Missing Nin. Naruto instantly smiled at his wife but didn't leave where he was, just incase.

"Hey Mom!" Mikomi called to the woman as she ran to her.

Mikaru looked at her older brother and was trying not to laugh but it was hard for her, she loved it when her older "genius" brother got into trouble.

"Laugh it up half pint," Haku said with a smile that was obviously playful. "Your fate is now in Dad's hands."

Mikaru ignored her older brother. She knew it, and so didn't need the reminder. "So you going to spar tonight or are you going to sneak off with that Uchiha chick," Mikaru remarked after resting her arms behind her head. It didn't escape her notice that his face went red as a cherry.

"Her name is Takara," Haku finally managed to say, the tone, a little agitated.

"Man it's true what they say, boys brains turn into mush when they hit puberty," Mikaru teased her older brother. This was how it always was, they often teased each other mercilessly. In retort, Haku mussed up Mikaru's already messy hair. "Hey!" She said giggling.

"No sparring tonight Mi-chan," Haku said. "I do have a date though."

"I pity you," Mikaru told him strait forwardly. She also thought her brother was insane for dating anyone in the Uchiha clan. There was only one sane Uchiha to her and he was considered an elder, seeing as he was the oldest Uchiha. One that she knew her father respected on a whole 'another level than most.

Haku cocked up an eyebrow and then realization hit him. He looked mortified and said, "He is scary."

"Well you're the one who had to date her," Mikaru remarked. She could never like her brother's girlfriend. It was like water and oil.

"Yeah, wonder if I can cancel it," Haku pondered.

Mikaru laughed and said, "And tell her what? I'm sorry but I'm scared of your father Uchiha Sasuke. Man you are a woose. You can kill a man but you can't meet your girlfriend's father?" She was trying not to laugh. Mikaru was a very opinionated twelve year old. Most especially when it came to others.

"You're a kid what do you know," Haku answered begrudidly. He regretted it once it left his mouth. Haku's biggest problem, that he didn't think when he spoke and had always treated Mikaru like an equal. However, he had a little too much pride for his age.

Mikaru knew he hadn't meant it like that and instinctively and without thinking, like usual performed a particular position. "Kage Bu.." She began only to get her arms stopped and pulled to her side by her father. Mikaru had forgotten her father was even there, he had witnessed the whole exchange.

"Mikaru, relax, your brother is just acting like teme," He informed his daughter. "Go inside and get something to eat... We still have some sparring to do, don't we?" He said with a wink, knowing very well that his daughter would have started a fight, and that she could not have won. Haku was ANBU Elite and she was a fresh Genin. It wasn't that he lacked belief in her... It would be like watching his past replay itself... Like trying to take on Zabuza himself. Naruto watched as his daughter went inside.

"Stop acting foolish," Naruto told his son in an even tone.

"But father," Haku began, wanting to explain himself.

"I said, stop acting foolish. Just because Mikaru was telling you the truth, don't take it out on her," He said, his tone, obviously strict and fatherly. If there was something that Naruto was, it was dedicated to his family and trying to maintain some sort of balance. All of his children were now under both the his authority when it comes to living under his roof and Nindo or Shinobi way of life.

"I'm not going to apologize," Haku said quickly. Again, he was not thinking clearly. It was to be expected.

"Fine," Naruto told him. "But I'd be careful, you know how Mikaru gets," He said with a conniving smile on his face. The face he had when he convinced Sakura and Sasuke to help him attempt to demask Kakashi Sensei. He walked away and towards his wife and daughter. He ran up behind his wife and acted like a canine and started nuzzling her neck.

"Can you do that when I'm not in the vicinity," Mikomi said making gagging sounds while her mom was giggling like a teenager. Mikomi was easily embarassed when it came to her parents who seemed to like to make her miserable by simply being that close.

From inside, Mikaru yelled, "Don't see why you're grossed out when you'd be enjoying it if Ra-san was the one doing the same to you!"

Mikomi's face turned bright as a tomato and ran in the house to chase her down and kill her for that remark... Preverbably.

Naruto was trying hard not to laugh. Leave it to a pair of twins to cause mayhem in the Uzumaki House. "Think we should stop them?" Fuu asked her husband in between giggles.

"Spoilsport," Naruto chuckled as Haku walked into the house only to get pummeled with water balloons.

Chapter 2 "My Own Person" by mikomimaru
Author's Notes:
Naruto is property of Kishimoto and I own nothing.

If you have a problem with the ships, don't read the fanfic. Flaming does upset us writers.
Disclaimer: Naruto is property of Kishimoto, I'm just writing a fanfic in honor of such a wonderful manga/anime. His Legacy Chapter II: My Own Person Mikaru had gotten up around dawn, to find Mikomi was doing the same thing. It was a shock to see each other, this early morning. Mikaru ran her brush through her hair, it was a little thick which made it impossible to get her hair to remain strait. It looked messy, while her sister's hair easily went into those pigtails of hers. Mikaru quickly dressed as did Mikomi.

On the way down the steps Mikomi asked, "You haven't told Ramana-san I like him, have you?"

"What? No," Mikaru said with her brows furrowed.

"I just figured with the teasing..." Mikomi began.

"Mikomi, you baka, I wouldn't tell him, he probably can already tell you like him... Unless he's clueless," Mikaru remarked. "But how many guys are that clueless to even a shy girl turning tomato red every time you talk to him?"

"Sakumo-san doesn't know that y-," Mikomi began only to be interrupted.

"Finish that sentence and I will so kick your butt," Mikaru remarked. She didn't like it when her sister brought up personal stuff. Most especially when she told her sister never to speak of it again. Then why was her sister now bringing it up?

"I don't understand it at all, how could you have a crush on your best friend," Mikomi remarked.

"Eh? I don't want to talk about this," Mikaru said and made a jump from the top flight of the stairs landing at the bottom, without breaking her legs. That didn't mean her legs didn't hurt from attempting something like that. She walked away from her sister. 'This thing I have for Saku-chan will blow over,' She thought to herself. 'I refuse to turn into my sister and turn into a blabbering idiot at the mere sight of him.'

It was then her baka brother came up from behind her. "So I hear you like the son of Otou-san's sensei."

"I'm going to kill Mikomi," Mikaru declared before her brother stopped her from turning and attacking their sister.

"You have a temper, little sister," Haku said. "She didn't tell me, I heard you telling her, but it is pretty obvious."

Mikaru elbowed him in the chest and said, "If you tell anyone..."

"I'm dead," Haku said raising his hands up in defeat. "I won't tell a living soul," He said. "Not so bad having a new crush on a friend, especially a teammate."

"Oh don't compare me to your standards Haku no baka," Mikaru said, appearing to be offended that she did have a crush on her best friend. He was a year older but she often used him as a punching bag. Mikaru had started to train with her father since she hit her fifth birthday.

Seven Years Ago...
"Mikaru," Naruto said sitting by his little girl who dressed in similar fashion that he did at that age.

"Hai?" She asked in a small voice, she had just finished her second bowl of Ramen.

"Why do you want to be a Konoichi?" Naruto asked. "What dreams do you have?"

Mikaru was very quiet, she seemed to be thinking very thoughtfully. "I want to be Hokage," She said.

Naruto seemed completely shocked at the reply. It wasn't something he expected from a five year old. Yes when he was five, he had wanted to be Hokage, simply because he wanted to be acknowledged. "Hmm," He said. "You do realize you have to be the strongest Shinobi in the village?" He asked.

"Hai, hai," Mikaru said. "I'll be stronger than you!" She declared.

Naruto laughed and had a very proud grin on his face. First of all, it had taken him a long time to have the vocabulary that his daughter now had. Though it was thanks to his wife, his Fuu. Second of all, he found in his daughter, characteristics that he half remembered of his younger days... The rarely good memories and the really bad ones. If he ever died, if Fuu died, there would be no one to take care of his children... And the curse on Mikaru would eventually turn her into him. It was nothing he would wish on his children. So he decided something at that moment.

"Then tomorrow morning, you are going to start your training," Naruto said with a smile playing on his face.

Mikaru hadn't noticed she walked out of the door and away from the compound when she found herself at the Konoha gates. Most of the clans lived in the forest, in specific sections, away from the rest of the families. The Uzumakis were no different in that instance. However, they were considered to have a "0" in manners.

She reached into her orange jacket pulling out her forehead protector and placing it in place over her forehead and tieing it as she walked into the village and zipped up the pocket. Mikaru knew she had to have her stupid photograph taken care of. Then go to her old man's office, it was so tempting to pull the stunt her father did... But then she would have to retake the picture and that was just too much of a hassle, even if it would annoy some people. Like Nara Sen would always said, "If it's too bothersome, it's not worth it."

Mikaru knew that it was a fringe benefit having a father that was the Rokudaime Hokage. However, it meant that it was sometimes harder on her too. Either people expected her to be a perfect daughter, do everything right because she was a representative of Konoha. That's why in school, she did everything she could to not get noticed. It worked for a time, but when her grades began to drop... Iruka Sensei focused on her. When she told him why she did it, he seemed to understand her dillema. He told her that she would always be noticed, most especially if she was still driven in her purpose to become the next Hokage.

It didn't take Mikaru five minutes when she came to her destination as she shook away her thoughts. She walked up the steps and saw the photographer waiting.

"Uzumaki-sama?" The man asked.

A vein twitched in Mikaru's forehead. "Eh, no, but I am a Uzumaki," She informed him. 'Shoot me now. Uzumaki-sama? Is that guy kidding???' She thought to herself.

"Please take a seat," The man spoke and watched her sit down in the most undignified manner. Maybe he had been mistaken, this could not be the Hokage's legacy. She seemed... Common.

Mikaru sat down and got in position for the photo, she had every intention of diving off the roof and jumping back and forth from roof to roof. After all, this was just a pain to her, another thorn in her side. Not that she had very many pains to her. The man quickly took the photo and she walked after he handed over a slip to her. Once she was out of sight.

"So that is the Legacy of the Yondaime and Rokudaime," A man in the shadow spoke.

"I do not see how she could be, boss," He spoke. "She seemed very..."

The figure in the shadows laughed. "You know nothing of the Rokudaime's childhood persona. If you did, you would see that she is in fact his child and heir. None of his other children compare to that one."

"Do you intend to continue with the plan, boss?" The photographer asked.

"Of course, I intend to shake Konohagure in ways they haven't seen since they lost their Sandaime Hokage," It cackled evilly before disappearing all together.

Meanwhile, Mikaru had made it to Ichiru Ramen shop. She sat down to hear...

"Well if it isn't our second best customer," The old man spoke.

Mikaru snorted indignitantly. "Why second?" She inquired.

"Rokudaime-sama has been eating here constantly for over thirty years," The old man chuckled as he prepared his finest Ramen for his newly Genin customer. Once prepared, it was placed before the girl. She reached for a pair of chopsticks and suddenly the smell instantly hit her as she closed her eyes and began to dive into the food. The old man laughed at the twelve year old girl, not in any mean or demeaning way. Merely because it reminded him of Naruto as a boy.

Mikaru ate for a bit, three full bowls and she was content. She paid the shop owner and said, "Thanks, see you tomorrow!" She was in a hurry towards the Hokage Tower. Mikaru was always happy kid when she ate a lot of Ramen. She arrived and saw a woman standing at the door.

"You cannot see the Hokage now," She told the girl. "He has thirty meetings to attend to and he does not need your childish antics distracting him," The assistant informed her.

"Psycho," Mikaru said and pointed to her forehead protect. "I am a graduated Genin and I have a slip. I am one of his meetings," She said glaring at the woman. This woman was Suki Maya, her father's temporary assistant who spent too much time trying to seduce the man.

On fifteen different occasions within the last week, Uzumaki Fuu had broken both Maya's hands and various other bones. There was something to be said, Fuu was a jealous woman. Oh, she trusted her husband, it was Maya that Fuu didn't trust and had given her daughter specific instructions to submarine the wench. Lucky for Maya, it was her last day.

"Oh," was all Fuu had to say as she knocked on the Rokudaime's door. "One of the graduates are here," She announced.

"Send him or her in," Naruto yelled as the door opened and slammed closed behind Mikaru.

"Can I submarine her?" Mikaru asked as she walked in.

The only reply Naruto could give was to just start laughing. "No Mikaru, she's officially fired in five minutes," He informed her.

"So who is the newbie?" Mikaru asked plopping down in her seat

"Miko Haien," Naruto informed her.

This answer surprised her to the say the least. "Saku-chan's Okaa-san?" She asked. Her eyes were as big as saucers. It was something she didn't expect, and she didn't know much about the woman, only that she was a Jonin, married to Kakashi Sensei and that the woman was Sakumo's mother.

Naruto nodded and said, "It was your mother's idea."

"Guess she's tired of the council getting mad at her for breaking your assistances bones, not that one could blame her," Mikaru remarked.

He ignored the last comment his daughter made. "Slip," Naruto said reaching out his hand and taking it from him and looked it over while the new assistant brought in a file with the photograph. "Mikaru," He said in a disapproving tone.

"What?" Mikaru asked as Maya left the room again.

"Where's the painted face?" Naruto said to her with an almost feigned upset expression.

Mikaru just had to laugh. "I don't want to retake the photo is all," She told him. It was true, it would just take away time she could be using to beat the crap of Sakumo and Ramana who were excellent Shinobis themselves.

"You just want to beat up boys," Naruto said in a knowing tone.

"Old man, you know me too well," Mikaru said with a smirk as the door was knocked on to reveal the same woman who had picked up Sakumo from school so many years ago. Leave it to the woman to be the reverse opposite of Hatake Kakashi, punctual.

"Haien-san," Naruto said. "Could you give us a couple more minutes and then I will fill you in on everything," He told the older woman. She simply nodded and shut the door behind her, leaving temporarily.

"Eh, so is that all?" Mikaru asked.

"Hai," Naruto spoke. "Tomorrow you have orientation," He said.

"I know," Mikaru told him. "We get separated into teams of three and then the dreaded bell test." She got up and walked to the door and stopped. "Dad," She said.

Naruto looked up and noticed she said his name, a first... She hadn't called him that in a long time. He knew, sometimes he was not there as often as he should, leaving her with various scrolls of jutsus for her to train with. "Yeah?" He asked.

"I know I'm pretty weak fighter and not so good at the mind games Genjutsu users are..." Mikaru began.

"You want to find someone to teach you Taijutsu and Genjutsu?" Naruto asked, finally understanding.

"Yeah, are there any Genin that are excellent in Taijutsu or Genjutsu that I could train and spar with?" Mikaru asked finally turning her head around to see.

"I would have to look but I know of one Taijutsu expert that would spar with you," Naruto spoke, "Rock Lee."

She turned completely around, giving him the 'what are you trying to get me into' look. "Dad, I said Genin not Special Jonin," Mikaru told him.

"He's the best and he's been trying to convince me to give him another team," Naruto explained. "But with the missions he's involved in, I think you would be the perfect candidate for the training."

"How do you figure that?" Mikaru inquired. She knew of Rock Lee for two reasons. Number one, her father had told her all about his earlier days as a Shinobi, most importantly the Chuunin Exams. The number two reason was, he used to be her brother's Sensei.

"Mikaru, you're not a weak Taijutsu fighter, you actually have a great deal of skill... I should know, you kicked the crap out of my stage three Kage Bushin with it. Also, you are not a genius." Naruto told her. "You're--"

"Yeah, I know, I'm not Haku," She said in a annoyed tone.

"That's not what I was about to say. I am trying to tell you that... You are a hard worker, you never give up, no matter how many times you get knocked down. That is something that you will need when facing the kind of training Rock Lee would present to anyone." Naruto tried to explain to his very thickheaded daughter. "He doesn't need a genius student that naturally can get everything on the first try or even the second."

"I'll think about it," Mikaru said as she opened the door. "See you later," Mikaru told him.
