Aw, I like Sasuke. And Naruto. God, this is the best you've ever done with those two, if I may say. Fantastic.

Right now, I hate Izumi. I just realized after I typed that what an amazing job you're doing. That's the reaction you're trying to provoke, isn't it? Anger towards Izumi's stupid yet stupidly noble actions.
I hope it is anyway, cause that's how I feel right now. ^^'

Author's Response: I like Sasuke and Naruto, too. Thank you. Yes, the aim to to feel resentment for Izumi because you'll like him all the more later. :)

You. Are. Crazy.
What is this?! I didn't "duck" I suppose, because I didn't think you'd do this!!!!
Well, the loser with the stupid name is just gonna get his heart broken 'cause we all know Sakura is going to go back to Izumi. Or Izumi will come to her, I'm not picky.
We all know it.
Right?
Right.

Oh, but the part with Sakura and her brother, very bitter sweet and moving, I enjoyed reading it. ^^

Author's Response: But I told you to duck!!!! You NEVER listen to me!!!! Well, whatever, and it's not THAT bad of a name... and I tried to put a lot into making Shuuji a good character. He's nto that bad, don't be so mean to him.

There's that emotion.

That last line was incredbily moving. The whole chapter, though short, was filled to the brim with emotion and I almost cried.
Almost; I didn't 'cause I was getting that proud feeling you get when, y'know, you're proud of a characer. Like when Kyoko impresses everyone with her acting or Naruto with his amazing ninja skill? Yeah, you know.

Needless to say, I loved this chapter. Another fantastic one, Sarahkins. ^^

Author's Response: Hmm? We keep getting repeats of your reviews...

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 12:24 pm · For: I Will Always Love You
Woah, that was weird. I just said Sakura and Izumi are like (or I wish they were) Kyoko and Ren from Skip Beat(!). And then you go and decide one of the songs we're using for them is also Sakura and Izumi's song!!!! Wow, that's so weirdly cool!

But on to the actual review. I hate to say it Sarahkins, but I feel like this chapter could have used more emotion. Sakura was feeling hurt because she believed Izumi didn't like her any more because he knows she's a girl, right? But I sort of had to muster up that hurt feeling myself; I feel like you didn't use the descriptive writing you usually do here. But that's alright, the chapter was still very jaw-dropping and I still enjoyed it. ^^

Author's Response: You already gave this review...huh, must've been a repeat problem...

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 12:20 pm · For: I Love Her
There's that emotion.
God, that was so short but I almost cried.
I almost cried but then Naruto was so Naruto and I felt that proud feeling you get when y'know, you're proud of a character. Like when Kyoko shows everyone how great an actress she is? Or Naruto beats someone up and everyone's so impressed? Yeah, you know.
So basically, I'm trying to say, great job, fantastic chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks. Yup, there's the emotion-- where it lacked in the last chapter, I wanted to throw in here. And I like Izumi the best so I thought I'd make this a great chapter with him. Yeah, I know what you mean about being proud of a character...

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 12:14 pm · For: I Will Always Love You

Author's Response: I actually wanted to go for an aim that you would be emotionally detached from the whole scene. Basically, when you're immersed in the emotions of the character, you get into the scene as if you were part of the story. However, when you give it an unemotional, slightly less dramatic feel, it has a bigger shock value. People do this a lot during death scenes-- instead of getting all into it like, "Shinji fell to the ground and collapsed on his dead body, sobbing," they'll go for a more detached view: "I watched him fall to the ground, my heart stopping. ...This...this wasn't...this couldn't be...but it was." That sort of thing. Which is more dramatic? The second, right? Basically, if you want shock value, think of it like how you'd want it to go...in an anime. That's what I do a lot. For death scenes, too-- you know that whole thing where suddenly everything but the person who's died and the person who sees is fades into white and everything is all silent except for a gunshot? That's emotional detachment-- where you remove yourself through the effects to create a bigger shock. There, does that make sense? That's how I wanted it to be during this scene...

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 12:08 pm · For: Kei Has Nice WHAT?!
This chapter brought forth a mixture of sadness, aww-ing, and laughing.
Sadness 'cause, obviously, something going to go wrong in thier little world cause the jealous kid is going to be an ass and, well, yeah, I'm sure it won't go well.
Aww-ing cause Izumi and Kei are so sweet. Awww. ^^
And laughing because of that whole last part (Sasuke and Naruto are such idiots. And Izumi... also an idiot). But also, when Izumi helped Kei/Sakura wrap her finger, I started thinking about Skip Beat(!) and how I wish Ren would do that to Kyoko. But then I realized she would give him a horrifed look and it would all go downhill from there... it was a very funny image. ^^

Author's Response: 1) You're right about Ren and Kyoko. 2) I still wish that would happen!!

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 11:54 am · For: Assassin
What?! WHAT?!?! UGH!! Sarahkins, you're too evil to do this. I hate suspense if I'm not the one writing it.
Is the loser kid behind this? The other army?
...Haha, I'm lucky I'm so behind, I don't have to worry about waiting for you to update and not knowing what happens next!! Sucess.
Anyway, mmm, not much to say on this chapter. Just I like Sasuke's personality. And Naruto's. They work well together. Very fitting. ^^

Author's Response: Thanks. :) Actually, this assassin's going to show up once and for all in the final chapters. ...Whoa, doesn't that sound exciting? 'The final chapters.' It sounds dramatic!

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 11:46 am · For: I Love...
Awww!!! I mean, AHHH!!!! Amazing! Wonderful description, you're amazing at fighting scenes, it felt like I was reading something from Naruto, minues the pictures!!! And then such a noble-y sweet ending! Ah, I love this chapter. Fantastic job!!!!

Author's Response: Aww, thank you! That's totally sweet. Right now I'm watching Black Cat and enjoying it immensely...not like you care, but I thought I'd mention it...Train Heartnet is a pretty good basis for Kei's level of fighting, though she has no real experience outside the lessons given to her by her father and fights with the village boys. But those were brawls, and her fighting style, like Train's, is very refined, clean-cut, and precise-- like an assassin's.

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 11:31 am · For: Nice to Know
Bwahahaha! Haha...ha... I'm sure you didn't mean to make this chapter funny but I couldn't stop laughing for a few minutes. ^^'
Oh, and to answer you're question, I prefer Izumi. Kenshin seemed to unsure of himself and shy, if I remember anything about him correctly.
And, Aha! I think I got that line right!! I feel so smart.

Author's Response: What was so funny about this chapter? You baffle me. And you know, I think I prefer Izumi too-- Kenshin was too pansy-core. And by the way, whenever you mentioned in your reviews, "I feel like I've reviewed this chapter," I'd submit my reply to your review and it would take me to all the reviews for that chapter. Of course, yours were the first two-- meaning that yes, you had reviewed that chapter, ha ha ha.

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 11:25 am · For: Masked Hero
God, you were too good at that. The whole seducing scene. I was getting chills, yet I also felt Sakura/Kei's hestitence and anxiety. AHH! That was amazing. I have nothing else to say. But now I feel like I really need to read something with NaruSasu moments... -hint-hint-
Though I'm sure it's Izumi's turn to talk next... but funny enough, I'm not sure I mind right now.
You're doing a great job with this story Sarahkins. ^^

Author's Response: Well, thank you. I'm better at reading lemons than writing them... (sweatdrop). Anyway, I'll get a few SasuNaruSasu moments going farther along in the story.

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 11:04 am · For: Light
Again, I'm sure I reviewed this chapter before, but I gotta say, 1) Naruto and Sasuke are like girls the way they talk about Kie and Izumi. It's so cute/funny. ^^
2) Awww, Sasuke is sweet. How perfectly OOC.

Author's Response: Okay, I've just gotta say that I LOVE OOC SASUKE. Like, he was getting better in the manga and stuff but then he went to Orochimaru and his social life DIED. But I like the Sasuke like the one we see in episode 101-- a little goofy and fun and sweet. And Naruto and Sasuke gossip like girls, it's true. That's what makes them so damn fun to write about!

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 10:55 am · For: Will the Sun Ever Shine Again?
... I think I need to skip ahead, I'm sure I read this already.... but I'll review again, I like this chapter. ^^ You're great with imagery, as a writer, I'm jealous, as a friend, I'm so impressed/proud. ^^ The NaruSasu moment was bittersweet and I loved it which kinda makes me worry about myself, but I'm also worried about Naruto.

P.S.
....40 chapters. Really? I'm not sure whether to be annoyed with you who probably made this so long on purpose just to mess with me, or to be mad at me who has no time management skills. Grr.

Author's Response: Ha ha ha, I didn't make it 40 chapters just to bother you. I'm seeing how far I can go with this. Honestly, you take this whole story and it probably only adds up to fifty pages or something. The chapters aren't all that long. But I'm glad you like it. And the NaruSasuNaru moments are starting to fade out a little and it focuses more on just their friendship and their bond more so than their romance, and it delves deeper into the romance between Izumi and Kei... (I've stopped calling her Sakura-- it's just Kei now, ha ha ha...)

Name: ChicagoIsCalling7 (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 10:47 am · For: Quid Pro Quo
Sarahkins, I'm baaack. Sort of. Y'know, long weekend, no homework, I was finally able to sit down and start reading and reviewing again. I'm soo sorry I've been neglectful (is that a word?), I know, I suck. But you're writing doesn't!
God, go back and compare you're very very first fanfic to this chapter, this entire work, and look at how you've developed such wonderful writing style!!!
Anyway, loved this chapter, really moved me. I still love my NaruSasu moments and such, but this, at least the part before Izumi acidentally sent Sakura to be killed... that was touching.
The rest of it was great suspense building. ^^

Author's Response: Nice to have you back, Hannahkins. Now if only I can get iheartnotebooks123 back... wow, when was the last time I emailed with her...? Anyway, continuing on, I KNOW-- crazy how much better my writing's become, right? Like, you look at "Jealousy to the Max" and suddenly, it seems like a kid wrote it compared to this!

You know, I cried when Izumi noticed dead Lee. (Told you I would cry, and I did!)

And I was so afraid that the creepy Ling-Ma would either kill Izumi or Kei.
I really, really, really, hope that they both will survive and marry and have children, but...

Well. War ain't over yet.

Author's Response: Yup, the war ain't over yet. And you cried over Lee? He wasn't even mentioned more than 10 times or something in all these 40 chapters! And he had like 2 lines of dialogue! You can be weird ometimes, Ai-chan...

Name: ontuva (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 10:20 am · For: So Be It
AAA! MAAAAN!
You are too good with these. I mean - GAAAH. THEY ARE ALL SO HEROIC. I'm gonna cry WHEN someone dies.
(I didn't put if, because I know you are gonna kill at least someone).

Ps. Robin Hood is my favourite!

Author's Response: I KNEW YOU WOULD GET THE MOVIE LINE. God, I knew. I so called it. And thank you, I try my hardest at these, ha ha ha. But you will cry when I kill...never mind. I'm not going to tell you.

Name: ontuva (Signed) · Date: 19/10/09 - 10:14 am · For: Ready or Not
You know, I was really getting into this, I was exited as hell, biting on my lip and stuff and THEN. Then the damn music player started to play "Epona's song" with a singer from Legend of Zelda and I basicaly looked like this "O_O T____T".

But yeah, that aside - AWESOME. I mean, of course Kei would like to keep Izumi alive, but Izumi's manly pride would never accept it. Hell, I wouldn't if I were a man. :D

Author's Response: Yeah, she feels thee same way, but she's so oblivious to mens' feelings. Kei is kind of an idiot, if you can't tell. I mean, she's brilliant, but she's a male-illiterate. For example, she would do the same thing if the situation was reversed: Izumi decided to spare her a while longer, and she would beat him up. But when she's not in that situation herself, she can't put herself into others' shoes.

Don't die, Naruto!!!!!!
D:
This is getting really intense!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: This IS getting intense, isn't it? Are you anxious? In chapter 40, our first character is going to die...you'll have to wait and see who that is...

Name: Ardisaur_rawr (Signed) · Date: 15/10/09 - 05:39 pm · For: Ready or Not
Surprise attack!! Like the ninjas they really are!! heheehehe
I can't wait!!

Author's Response: LOL, for real. I'm kind of scared about writing this-- I'm not good at writing long, drawn-out battles. I lose creativity...

Name: Ardisaur_rawr (Signed) · Date: 07/10/09 - 07:04 pm · For: So Crazy It Might Just Work
The title of the chapter reminded me of "The Master of Disguise."
I love that movie...
Anywho... I wonder what their battle strategy is, eh?
You're cooking up a good one aren't you? LOL
Goooooood Chappe, mate!

Author's Response: I've never actually seen that movie. I've heard it's pretty funny, though. I myself am an action/adventure and sci-fi movie kind of girl. And I'll be honest with you-- I have a few ideas for her strategy, but they all seem so...average. Like, now I've got them all cooked up to be this big awesome crazy thing and I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF WHAT SHE'S GONNA DO! Anyway, I'll figure something out, and it will be okay. You know I can. :) Anyway, thanks for the review!

Name: ontuva (Signed) · Date: 07/10/09 - 10:17 am · For: So Crazy It Might Just Work
You got me interested! I wonder what her plan is...

But again - awesome chapter! I mean, I got the chills. It felt like I was one of those soldiers going to face the Continent's army. And it felt goddamn scary.

I can't wait how you are going to describe the battles. Even this gave me the adrenaline rush! I'm gonna have a heartattack when the attack comes. xD

Author's Response: I try to set a pretty intense mood in each chapter-- I want you to try to feel like you're there. It's boring when stories aren't like that. Like the other day, I was reading a manga called Whistle! and it was about soccer. Basically, the main character, Sho, he and his team were really struggling. I felt like one of his teammates, desperate for a goal. Then, in a sudden twist of fate, Sho made a shot...from a ZERO DEGREE ANGLE. It was SOOOOOOO intense. And I recommend Whistle! because it's got even better adrenaline rushes than my stories, LOL!

Well. Yes. I was going to say that Izumi should deserve a promotion too (THE PROTECTOR OF KEI-SAMA! *with dramatic voice*). But well. :D (I hate when TONFA shortens my reviews.)

This story is getting so exciting! Soon is the assasination part! I can't wait for that!

And I'm so afraid of what will happen to Kei and Izumi. And to everyone else too! I mean - there can't be no war without casualties. It's just impossible. Kei already got her hand hurt. I just hope next time it won't be her heart.

And yep, I remember the breast-part. xD It was awesome!

Yep, we went to my friend's place at Jyvaskyla (it about two hours from here). And yep, it was a blast. :D We celebrated my other friend's birthday there (with a princess' and princes -theme and it was so much fun xD) and then we just watched anime. :D A lot of it. And ate pizza. Too much. I can't eat pizza anymore.
And yep, my boyfriend was with me. :D We usually don't go anywhere without each other. Basically my friends are his and his friends are mine. :D
I told him you said Hi and he said Hi back. :D And he hasn't really played guitar lately. But he bought an accordion. And tries to play it.
Thank God I have earplugs.

Author's Response: "Protector of Kei-sama"? Pretty good, Aino-- I wish I'd thought of that. But she did make him her 'advisor'. (It's an excuse to keep sleeping with him.) Also, I have finally determined who lives and who dies. Out of the characters we know, there will be a total of five, and two of them will be from our mains. People will probably hate me or stop reading my stories, but-- as I mentioned to Miki Everless, I believe-- it's my personal goal to kill off a main character, because I've never been able to do it before. They always come back-- usually their death was a misunderstanding and they're actually alive. But it leaves me wondering how I'd do characters' reactions. If Kei died, Izumi would no doubt sink into despair and then commit suicide. If Izumi died, Kei...I don't know. She could go either way-- killing herself or honoring the fact that Izumi would want her to live. I don't know-- losing Izumi twice, the first time because she thought he didn't love her and the second time because he was dead, would be enough to make me kill myself. And if Naruto died, Sasuke...I think he'd take it really, really hard, to the point where he'd lose himself completely. and if Sasuke died, Naruto would probably just be silent, cry a little, and try to move on-- but he wouldn't be able to, because he blames himself for Akira-- not being able to protect her-- and he'd probably blame himself for Sasuke's death too, even if it wasn't his fault. Anyway, off that topic-- so your boyfriend's picked up the accordion? Now THAT is cool! But is it so bad that you have to wear earplugs? Tell him I wish him luck, and that if he practices enough, you will be able to take out your earplugs soon and he can serenade you to...accordion music. Um...how...romantic? Well, it's whatever you like, I guess...

NOOO! TONFA FUCKED UP MY REVIEW! It was a mile (well, maybe not that long, but LONG) long and TONFA cut it after the I'm quite slow part. :( That isn't nice at all!

I'm gonna make a new one. ^^''

And I sent the friend request in Facebook. :D

Author's Response: It's quite all right-- TONFA does that a lot. I write awesomeness reviews that are a "mile long" as you so aptly put it, and then there will be one sentence up. I start cussing at my computer. "#%&#@ ^&*&# %#$!@^ %^$%^???!!!?!?!" I say. LOL, not really, but I do get pretty pissed. And I accepted your friend request! <3 It made em so happy to receive it. I also can't wait to receive your mile-long review. I love those reviews the best! :D Thanks, Aino!

A promotion! I didn't see that one coming (I should have, because she is so awesome, but I didn't. I'm quite slow right now. >_

Author's Response: It's okay, don't worry about it. I didn't see that one coming until I actually wrote it, and then I was like, "Ah, when did that happen? Oh, yeah, I wrote that..." I do that all the time-- it makes me feel like such an idiot. And I figured out what you meant-- a friend request on FACEBOOK! I thought you meant here on TONFA. I was like, "Oh, that's beast. Who woulda thunk that you could be 'friends' on TONFA?" But it took me a minute to figure out that you meant on Facebook...

"Nice to know someone was making the most of their army experience. Score, Kei. Add ten points."
I started laughing frantically after reading this. :D (Well, maybe I'm a bit tired, since I just got home from a weekend trip, but... funny!)

Gah, I'm so tired and well... tired, that I can't write properly. :D Well. Let's just say you still amaze me, I'm hooked like hell and Kei and Izumi are *hearts hearts hearts*

(And now that she's target I'm a bit afraid what will happen to her. Or Izumi. Because everything that happens to Kei/Sakura has an effect on Izumi too!)

Ps. I sent you a friend request. ^^''

Author's Response: OOOH, a friend request? I didn't know that there was one!!!!! I'm so psyched now. <3 Anyway, you're the first person to comment on that line that Sasuke says-- that's a pretty good line...maybe almost as good as "I see. Nice breasts, huh?" Remember that one? That was another great Sasuke line!! So a weekend trip? How was that? Where did you go? Did you go with your Shikamaru-like boyfriend? How is he? Tell him I said hi, and that I hope his guitar-playing endeavors are going well. Thanks for your review! <3
