Absolutely loved it. The fight was intense, the emotion was so raw and just brought the reader more and more into the story. I was at the edge of my chair for each new paragraph. Also don't listen to that dontreply person they're just trying to troll you and wouldn't know a good story if it hit them in the nuts, tits, whatever. Hmmm, I haven't read the prequel since this story's banner caught my eye first.
First of all, do you know what a "Mary-sue" is? You should search it up. Oh you know, she's just a 16 year girl that happens to control the 6-tailed beast (as if the original host never existed) AND is considered "kage-level" AND is raised by the Raikage and his brother AND is in the special ops AND is loved by everybody AND just happens to have some cool looking outfit that looks more like some punk look than ninja look. Was it also mentioned she can use medical jutsus?! And is supposed to save the world alongside with Naruto. I cringed when reading all that and seeing how overpowered she is just makes it utterly boring. I just wanted to find a decent story but according to people, this is the best there is. This may sound harsh but think about it.

So did he Chidori her through the chest or the stomach? I keep reading two different things throughout this new story. Not that it’s overly important, I am just wondering. XD Also, isn’t Sasuke blindfolded right now? When he got the eyes, his eyes were covered so they could heal with a blindfold. He doesn’t remove it until right before he joins the war.
Oh shut up both of you! We all know you fucking love each other. Gosh! XD I am waiting for Sasuke to do something stupid or dickish to be honest, because he isn’t the nicest of people right now. To be honest, I was a tad disappointed with his reaction to her. Knowing Sasuke, he’d be frankly pissed that she allowed him to think he killed her because it had tortured him so much. Sasuke often thinks about how everyone affects him, so yeah.

Itachi was thirteen when he killed the Uchiha, just to let you know. Unless you were making him older on purpose, you said he was fifteen when he started to hear about the rebellion.
I KNEW ITACHI WAS GOING TO SAY HER EYES WERE LIKE HIS MOM’S. I knew it! I love being right. XD I liked this chapter, but am waiting to see if Itachi was being too hopeful. Helping Sasuke out of darkness is going to be a borderline impossible task. Good luck, Rayne.

Wow, you did great characterising Itachi just through the little flash back sentence. Reading that, I KNEW right away it was Itachi saying it. It was really well thought out. Itachi has a certain way of wording things that you really captured there. I also like how you’re showing that Naruto actually knows a lot about Sasuke and even his relationship with Rayne. A lot of people do this stupid thing where Naruto is quite often dense about connections, but I think quite often he had some wisdom in that head.
How does Rayne know it’s Obito? I am pretty sure Itachi didn’t know…just saying? Who told her? Did Obito tell her himself? I am a tad confused.
I don’t picture Sasuke telling Karin all of that. To be honest, he had always treated her like trash, and I mean trash. The guy sacrificed her to kill Danzo and laser-sworded her without a second thought. He never responded to her flirting and he barely made conversation with her. She was just a tool, so I don’t see him telling her all that. I could see him telling Suigetsu though, for some reason. I always picture them with an odd relationship as kind of friends. And I also get the hint that Suigetsu understand Sasuke more then he thinks. So maybe if Karin overheard Sasuke telling him? I don’t know. It just feels off that Sasuke told her all of that.

While Rayne is right about Sasuke not deserving what happened to him, she should kind of be aware that the dickhead is cognitively functional enough make decisions on his own. There is a point in time where the village is no longer responsible for what he does and when people have to realise that Sasuke is just being a really big dick about everything. A good person would have seen the suffering his brother went through and then tried to live by his dying words, despite the fact that it would hurt a lot to just try to forget. Sasuke is completely selfish and at a certain point, people need to stop blaming the village and blame Sasuke for his own actions.
Also, Itachi, even though I love the man, was no saint. Yes, he was thirteen and naïve when he decided to abide by the village’s will, but the man really fucked up Sasuke; it was his decision to make Sasuke hate him which led to Sasuke obsessing over revenge and centring his life in it. Itachi was being selfish, just like Sasuke is being now, because he wanted to die by Sasuke’s hand in some kind of skewed attempt at redemption. A better option would have been to ask the village to tell Sasuke that when Itachi tried to run, the ANBU caught up to him and killed him. Sure, Itachi doesn’t get to die the way he wants, but that way Sasuke would have been a fucking normal child for the most part and wouldn’t have been obsessed with revenge.
I just think both of the Uchiha did stupid things, and while the village is responsible, they all made bad decisions. I feel like Rayne is kind of letting her feelings for Sasuke get in the way when thinking about the massacre and it’s clouding her judgement. To be honest, I would like to see more inner turmoil over this. And what I mean by that is she logically knows that Sasuke is, in part, responsible for his own actions, but she keeps on trying to convince herself that he’s still good inside; that he’s only acting like the way he is because he is hurt. Rayne was no a stupid person in the previous story, I always felt that she thought things through logically, so I don’t think it would be absent here.

However, I think she may have troubles getting Sasuke’s. Especially after the Kage summit, that is going to be difficult. He kind of goes on a murdering rampage.

Wow, this starts off way into Shippuden, holy crap! I did not expect to start reading at the B fight. O.o. This is going to be good, I can feel it. >.<
First thing I thought…all of this seems to be pretty out of character for Samui, but then again, she is kind of undefined. I always took her to a be a hard-ass for some reason though. When I got to the end, I was like ‘what is going on…what is going on…what is going on?’ I had to reread the end like three times before I realised it was Rayne transformed.
Oh I am soooooooo excited for this. Will Sasuke feel the heat of the bracelet? Will he remember feeling Rayne’s chakra? Will Karin crack and tell him what happened?
Loving the mystery in this chapter and the change in atmosphere. And our last conversation about Tsunade giving Rayne a reality check on her position would be amazing! DO IT! It would work soooooo well for this story beginning here because you can do little flash backs about how she left and what not. Though you may have already done that in future chapters here, but yeah! I really like that idea!

Reverse This Curse Review
Two things. One, I thought Sasuke didn't truly get Itachi's eyes until during the war. Has the war already started or something? Second thing, I really don't think Itachi knew Madara was Obito, and he never told Sasuke, so I am dubious that his name should be mentioned before Kakashi discovers it. Although it is natural to us, nobody but Madara really knew who he was. But I may be wrong, so......
Now, I've found I love listening to the songs you choose just to see what you may have been thinking and how it relates. As I'm sure you know, The Memory goes very well with how Sasuke must feel inside, even if he's in denial and all that.
I'm glad I started reading Inuyasha now. If/When you post an Inuyasha fanfiction, I can actually read it. Which I'm glad for because I don't want to miss anything you write. I also recently watched episode 1 of Samurai Champloo, and I was amazed by the fight scenes. They're just so......... Just absolutely wow. I'm sure it'll be great, too, though I need to finish watching it.
*sigh* So envious of your spectacular drawing abilities.
Sasuke sure is in denial. First he tries to cut the ties he even had in a way by getting rid of his eyes and then claims he doesn't care. He does realize he just acted against his claim, right? =P Plus, we readers cheated and know he does care because of Karin XD. Plus, he kept the bracelet, just like Rayne kept the necklace. I think they're unintentionally keeping themselves attached. Though I did smile for some reason reading about the bracelet......
Haha. I love Rayne's "greeting". First she beats him up, then she acts so nonchalant. So like her ^_^. I enjoyed the twenty question game. It answered any question we may have had, and it, to me, also allowed us to see Sasuke better in this..... State? Would that be the right word? Disgruntled maybe? I can't think of the word =_=. You know what I mean, though (I think). It was also fun to see the reactions he gave from what he learned, though mostly small things.
Hm..... Quick question that I may just be forgetting - why couldn't she just return to Kumo? Why did she have to fake her death?
Sasuke - always so fair. About ten questions for three *rolls eyes*. I applaud Rayne. She always asks the questions I want answered. Now whenever she punched him again (if she does during the fight) this fic will already more than satisfy me ^_^.
He seriously needs some sense knocked into him. Every time he says a word about destroying Konoha for Itachi I want to slap him a billion times in the face. He died to protect Konoha. Logical conclusion? Destroy it...... =_=...... Yet I still love the idiot. I blame Kina (character from Never Too Late, my SasuOc story).
Another fight. These always end well. By that, I mean someone is either physically or mentally messed up, which can be a good thing because Sasuke's messed up would mean fixed. Strange logic, but it makes sense ^_^.
Great chapter, Tink-chan. Sorry it took me sooo long to review. I'm glad I finally got to it, though. I really hope Rayne knocks some sense into Sasuke. I look forward to more fabulousness, Tink-chan, whenever you get to it ^_^.
Author's Response: Sasuke gets his eyes transplanted like RIGHT before the war is starting. Then he's gone for like 40 chapters and we see him walking in the rain confronting people and being like, yo, I got me some new eyes, lets fight. Yeah, the whole Itachi knowing who Obito is/was is something that I've struggled with. I've talked to Karnia about it a lot, and all in all, I don't really think he knew him. I might go back and edit at some point (I know I won't) to fix it. I'm glad you listen to the songs when you read! That was my intention in using the song titles for chapter titles xD Why did she fake her death? Rayne wanted to cut all ties from the village and worked it out with Tsunade so she could be taken back to Kumogakure, no strings attached. She was hurt, so she wanted to leave everyone, and every memory of Sasuke, behind by leaving. She also wanted to escape from everything that happened to her while in Konoha, and forget about it. Which doesn't really work :P

Everything about this is so so so so so perfect. It runs so smoothly and I don't think this chapter could have come up at a better time. Every chapter of this story is so flawless! This definitely wasn't how I pictured Rayne and Sasuke's meeting; it was so much better.
When I saw you posted I literally squealed and I'm pretty sure I scared just about every member of my family, but that's nothing new. I always flip out when I see you updated. :) Can't wait to see the shit that's about to go down between Rayne and Sasuke! Excellent work as always!

What.... The..... MY FLIPPIN' REVIEW WAS DELETED!!!!! GAH - Not fair T_T. Now I have to do it all over again. *sigh* Here it goes.
First off, the mistakes. Well, there was only one big mistake, but it bugged me twice. It was the Obito thing. To begin with, he just randomly started using it. Would he have explained to Rayne who it was? Otherwise you'd think she was confused. Secondly, Obito was the one who attacked Minato, and if Itachi already knew about Obito, wouldn't he know the truth behind the Kyuubi attack as well?
Random note: I didn't realize Reverse This Curse was a song until I went to look up this story in the url bar and it showed up Reverse This Curse lyrics. Actually I'm listening to it now just to see what it is. Quite fitting, Tink-chan. Is it for Sasuke, or did you connect it to Rayne? I can kinda see it going for both.
Haha. I know I already commented on this picture, but I still absolutely love it XD. And the name just makes me laugh more. Amazing job at drawing the scene.
I really enjoyed the little look you gave us into what happened with the Rokobi after Rayne's "death" and also showed us that strong connection between the two of them again. I wonder if Naruto and Kyuubi will ever achieve that.......
And then Itachi comes in with such a brilliant statement from Rayne *laughs again, imagining scene*. He was right, though, about her not attacking because of being in a bath. I think few women would.... Though for some reason I could imagine Tsunade doing it..... It was interesting seeing how Rayne reacted, slowly transitioning from fearing Kisame was going to appear to actually sitting down with Itachi to listen to what he has to say. Though he is the better Uchiha right now *sticks tongue out at evil Sasuke, though hoping very much sense is beaten into this idiot*
I think you did a mind blowing job in the following scene. Although much of it was repeated from what has been read in the manga, the way you portrayed Itachi and his feelings was what really hit me. It's why he's my favorite now instead of Obito. Well, Obito never really could beat Itachi, but he was close enough to be tied. Then he turned out to be the bad guy and it's like.... EVIL BACKSTABBER!!!! Then again, that's how Obito must feel.........
This was a spectacular chapter with great emotion behind it. I really loved where he questioned Rayne's feelings for Sasuke and then told her how Sasuke was, what he felt, etc., just like I did when Karin explained everything. It makes me really want to hug Sasuke. It's why I can't help but love him despite him being a word I cannot say. And you know, the logic with the hate thing is really starting to interest me while I read this. It shows just how strong Itachi is he didn't go all hateful after he lost his family, because even if he killed them, I'm sure he had to love them.
I also loved the last paragraph. It's just... I dunno. Again, another deeper look into his mind. Now I really want him to be back to life T_T. Itachi, why did you have to die?
Even if I really want to read more of this story, I understand on your waiting and will wait patiently like a good little follower.
Author's Response: I didn't want Itachi to explain everything to Rayne in this chapter. After this meeting, they're supposed to be together for half a year training, so there will be plenty of time for him to explain things...and for them to get close (; Wink. WINK. WINK. WIIIIIINKYFAAAAACE.
Yes! I love "Reverse This Curse." From the moment I heard it, I pictured Rayne and Sasuke in my head. Every chapter in this story are songs that remind me of them. It does pertain to both of them, but leans more toward Sasuke... "To die is to live in her head," is almost reversed for Sasuke, since Rayne was "dead" and he couldn't forget his memories of her. "You've got something to prove, and nothing to lose," Sasuke wants to take revenge for his clan, and no longer has anything to lose because he lost Rayne. "This goes out to the ones that fall in love, and to the girl that filled my dark," Sasuke's been in darkness all his life, and Rayne was the one who filled it (: I'm glad you listened to it and picked up on everything!
I know T^T I love Itachi so much as a character. Kishimoto's writing for him is just so well done. Thank you for such a great review. I know I'm late with this response because I haven't really been on TONFA, but reading this really did make me smile (as usual with you) (: Xoxo!~
