That time of year again...
No, not the NFA. Not until next week. No, this is something far more... interactive.Once upon a time there was a girl, and this girl decided that on August 12th, she and her friends were to wear costumes. It was, after all, her nineteenth birthday, and they had to comply with her wishes, right?
Her friends, of course, agreed. And then tried to force people all over the world to comply with their wishes. This... didn't really turn out so well, but hey! They tried. So, that August 12th, the girl dressed up as Shikamaru ((Not Chuunin-Shika, Genin-Shika. Which means she had to find something to cover her boobs. Like a monkey-patterned neon yellow bikini. I bow to her awesomeness)) and your friendly neighbourhood admin dressed up as Temari.
There was much fun and goofball shippiness.
But that was last year. And this year, people seem to have forgotten about Random Costume Day. But not I! Not the admin who's closet is more full of costumes than clothing!
So what does this have to do with TONFA? Mostly... nothing. That is unless you want to participate in Random Costume Day. Which is why I'm bringing this up. When I was going through my closet, I discovered that the only costume I wanted to wear wasn't finished ((I'd forgotten to get the ties for the shirt. Uhm. Oops.)), so...
Ninja time! It's Random Costume Day; who needs to be dressed as any particular character? And to be a Naruto ninja is as easy as throwing on something skin-tight ((and, if you're working, or your parents are, uh, not pleased, maybe some pants, too)), followed by a hitae-ate and sandals. Easy! So easy that anyone can do it!
And for those of you without hitae-ate/head protectors; be an undercover ANBU. All you need is a sharpie marker to tattoo your arm :)
((If you couldn't tell: I love costumes, costuming, and anything that has to do in dressing as someone I'm not. Any excuse is a good excuse))

Me and renaru_shosa did our cosplay today as best we could for such short notice. I wore black capris, a blue ribbed tank, blue sandals, my Leaf hitai-ate, and wore my hair like Tsunade-hime. Renaru wore green capris, black tank, her leaf hitai-ate, and sandals with blue in them hehe Oh, and we did her hair up like Temari, but it looked more like TenTen's b/c we had to make them into little buns cuz her hair is longer than Temari's. To top my outfit off, I wore my Leaf wristband. Yosh! We had good times! We strutted our stuff at the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, IL and I was stopped because of my messenger bag (Inuyasha) and I informed the fellow anime-fans that today was cosplay day and they were in awe. hehe Anywho...we did take pictures..but not specifically for our outfits. Mainly just to get in good with old Abe :p Anywho..this was fun! Next year give us a better warning so we can be a bit more prepared ^__~ (we do random cosplay day on a reg basis anyways... )

Aww man! I didn't get on the computer until today so I didn't know! I love dressing up, too! I was Neji at a cosplay at the anime club at the library a few weeks ago. I wore a white jacket, jeans bermudas, used up all the ace bandages in the house, my leaf headband and some flip-flops. I sort of forgot to wear a shirt under the jacket, so I couldn't take my jacket off all day (I'm a girl)! My sister and I were planning on going to a comic-con, we were going to be the dynamic mist duo (I bribed her to be Haku) but the comic-con was on a school day and it was in Orlando, about a 4-hour drive from where I live. I just now noticed, I've never cosplayed a female character. I've always been a girl on Halloween and junk, but always crossdressing for cosplay. I forgot to take a picture of me as Neji, but when the next comic-con rolls around (if it's in Florida where I live) I'll send you my picture of me as Zabuza. The costime is finished, it actually looks good on me and I talked my mom into letting me borrow her blue pinstriped pants. It cracks me up that she has a pair like that.
By the way, your hair is so prettyful! It's such a pretty color and it's long and straight! I have back-length dark brown hair and it's very puffy and wavy. It's like a boyfriend. I love it, I hate it, I leave it. I'm donating it to the cancer peoples. Then I'm getting a haircut like Hinata's. Maybe I should be Hinata for the comic-con... NO MY LOYALTY TO ZABUZA SHALL NEVER WAVER MUAHAHA!!!! *gets dragged away by a bunch oif mist anbu before she can continue ranting*
