I really don't feel like trying to figure out what needs to be done to reinitialize the poll program. And the NFA is down like the forums, so I can't borrow their polls either. Looks like we're going to have to do this through comments. Sorry folks.I know there are a lot of 18+/XXX fanfics that you all love to read and write. I'm not getting rid of them. I'm proposing that we move them into a secondary site, if you will. Now, this is not saying that they're being removed from TONFA, or even that you'll have to sign up individually for each site (I'm pretty sure that I can set it up so that the user database is the same for both sites).
This is me saying that you'll be able to access those fics from a subdomain of narutofic.org. Something like http://adult.narutofic.org/
The question is: would you guys accept that?
And if you're wondering. Yes, my number one reason for considering creating an adult subsite of TONFA is because all of the methods I've been looking into using to support TONFA, outside of Cafepress, will not affliate with TONFA due to the adult material on the site.

Well, it will certainly make things easier when trying to differentiate between stories. I agree with DancerOfShadows on that. Also, as to the younger reader issue, I think that it is also better that way. The general demographics for kids that watch Naruto is surprisingly high in the 12-15 year range. So yeah. My vote is in favor of the separation.

Hey, if you're willing to transfer the information (Just trying to get my stuff on here involved a bottle, yes, a whole travel sized bottle, of advil.) for the computer illiterate such as myself, I think that it would be a great idea, whatever works to keep the supporters happy!

I don't hink it's a bad thing, then the children won't stumble onto the over 18 smut and I won't have to go looking for it all over the place ^_^

I don't think it would be too bad if you can make it so we can keep all our info on both sites with a transfer. Maybe put a link on a profile that leads to that user's stories on the adult site, that would be a good way to keep people on both sites connected to the stories on the other. Maybe even, if it's possible that is, have a way that sends the 18+ stories to the adult site, that would keep both sites easy to manage for those like me who take for ever to get organized

Yes, I agree, that is a great idea! Just make sure to have a G-rated splash page with a pop-up warning, or innocent children might venture into the unknown depths...! (Been there.... *shudder*)

Sure, I'll go for it. But, you know. People are always going to lie about their ages and what-have-you. All things considered, it really doesn't make any difference. I realize that I sound cynical, but this is just the reality of it.

I'm all for it! My little sister is on this site a lot, and I've walked in on her reading R18 stuff. She was grounded but she still reads it. The adult site sounds good!

I like the idea of a separate site, but I have to agree with Akira with her point of people lying about their ages. In other words, there is no real way to protect those younger ones from actually reading the 18 or R18 stories that are posted.

I think that's a very good idea, not only from your reasoning, but also so that TONFA will be more appropriate for younger kids, since I'm sure there's a lot of younger kids who frequent TONFA. Also, people who aren't looking for adult fanfics will have an easier time searching for fics. I'm for the separate adult site addiction.
