Two Points, People.
First, the company who owns the servers was doing some work, which is why the site was down a few times this week. It should be fixed.Secondly, please beta your fics. Please. I'd like to think I've stressed this enough-but apparently not. Fics with typos and bad grammar will be edited or moved into the Bad Fic section without warning.
What makes up a Bad Fic? Chatspeak or lack of sentance structure does. In fact, anything below a eight grade writing level. The only exceptions are lists, and fiction fragments. Stylistic deviations are judged on a case-by-case basis.
It's nothing personal-things need to be read, and thus, in proper English. Not a lingo nobody likes. Thanks.
ETA:Dolly brought up a very good point. Paragraphs, unless it's a script-story, are expected of you. A paragraph is four to seven sentences.
And yes, you are more than welcome to write in another language. I'm fluent in French-so that is more than okay. As for others languages, you will still be expected to have proper structure and all that. It'll be checked by someone.

Do script-style stories like Cheaper By The Dozen count as bad fics? What about Haku's Anger Mmanagement Center? It doesn't have elaborated sentenced but it's got proper grammar. And Priest said something about being able to write stories in any language, so could I write one in French if it's got good grammar and spelling?

I have the same question as Hinotama... >>; Wait, does that mean I can write in spanish and french? O_O;

Yes, as long as it;s gramtically correct, you can write in whatever you want.
I can beta a French story, like I said.

I agree with you. Some people's fics are so hard to read with all of the spelling and grammatical errors. I'm not saying I'm perfect, I occasionally find an error here and there. But I also let people know when the grammatical errors are there for a reason. Some of these stories are just... HARD TO READ.

I'm just glad that something has been mentioned about the grammer. It gets so difficult to read a fic sometimes and the plot may seem so great but the grammer kills it. Sometimes I offer to beta just to kill the grammer.
Also Im curious about what you consider a 'bad fic'. Some stories are meant to be written in a way that seems odd but that's what makes it a great fic.

.... Oni_Chan...
Um... It's "grammar" with an "a," not an "e." ^^""

If anyone writes in Spanish, I'd be more than happy to beta for them.

*grabs a French grammar book* If I'm going to write a fic in French and its going to be Betaed by you, I had better work on my grammar and spelling. *cries* I forgot most of my written French T_T (well this should be good excercise, I'll need this help for high school. I love you!)

Oni_Chan, bad fic, like I said, is simply those that lack grammar and complete sentences. I make no judges on style.

*blushes* My bad...sorry I didn't recheck my post before posting. Didn't notice the 'e' wasn't an 'a' ^//^ Okay, I get it Lae. ^_^ That's all I wanted to know.

Lae, as a grammar nazi, I love you.
And, I'd rather not impose on your update, but please, proper paragraphs as well. Organizing paragraphs is a little hard sometimes, but basically when you're going from one point to the next, give birth to a paragraph.
