Let's try this again...
OKAY. SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE, STOP SAYING "DO WHAT YOU WANT!"It doesn't matter what I want to do. Seriously. I want to know if you would use the damn chat. I'm not going to go to all the work of installing it, if the only person who ever uses it is me.
So this post? Consider it a poll. Any responses to it are either "yes" or "no".
None of this goddamned "well... do what you want!" bullshit. Because, as previously stated MY OPINION DOES NOT MATTER. And if anyone ELSE decides to say that line, there will be no chat rooms. Ever. And I'm seriously considering banning anyone who uses the Round Robin feature as a chatroom, because hey! You didn't want one in the first place.
Yes, it's mean. But I am getting frustrated by the complete lack of answers to a yes or no question. Either you want a chatroom or not. What I want doesn't matter.
edit: If you don't want your name known by responding to this post... I've closed the first anime poll, and opened a brand new Would you use a chatroom? poll. Yay.

Gahahaha!!!! Way to put it in for them apathetic idiots. xDDD IRC chat ftw!!!! Chat in general is good, considering I like to know the people who read my stories. ^__^ Sadly, though, I know no one atm who knows how to do that stuff. But I can ask around whenever I can.

I'd use it -- I like talking, I like fanfiction... I like the idea of forums, too. But, I know that's a lot of work on your part. Anywho, I'd use it.

wow, dang, and all that other stuff. Although I don't particually think that chatrooms are safe and what not, it would be nice to get to know some of the other authors on here. And really, although not apart of the group that was pushing you for the chatroom but feels in some why responsable for the madness, sorry. ^_^' and I means it too!!

I, if pressed to choose, would say forums. We (usually) can have more control over those, since people have to a)register and thus comply with TOS, R&G, etc. and b)there will be moderators and watchers keeping an eye on things. Plus, it can be divided into categories based on age, pairing, topic, whathaveyou.

I have no clue how to use IRC chat rooms, however, for those who don't know how to use IRC chat rooms, I'm more than willing to look into other easy to use chatrooms. =D

No, i wouldn;t. They're unsafe, even if you don't use your real name and give your address. Stalkers can get your IP and stalk you down. Also, I'm sad the "what was your first anime" vote closed. I've been so busy with schoolwork, I didn't get a chance to vote. It was Yugioh, btw.

OOOOkay. Anger and annoyance aside (God knows I hate apathetic people), I agree with Hinotama in that chatrooms are not safe. However, from a strictly logisitical point of view, I seriously don't think that one would be feasible. There aren't really that many people on at a time, and most are probably reading. So my vote will be in the "nay" direction. Another kind of option may be forming some kind of web-based group, such as a yahoo! group, though I'm probably just grasping at straws.

I don't really think we need one. besides, it would kind of take away from the whole spirit of TONFA..... it isn't a chatroom, it's a fanfiction site. If you want to talk, use IM or whatever.
My conclusion, we don't need a chatroom.

Yeah...Hinotama has a point there, as well as Master C. IM really is a better idea, because you can speak too a person individually...and even if TONFA did get a chatroom, I probably couldn't chat...stupid firewalls...

ACK! Angry! *ahem* I probably wouldn't, considering that a lot of my free time is writing the *bleep*ing stories and putting them up, reading other stories a-chappie-at-a-time. So, my official answer would be "NO". Ah-heh-heh-heh...*backs out of room*
