I was reading a book when I heard footsteps behind me. Knowing nobody was home but me I swung my fist around. It was met with a wall of sand. Great. Hold on. SAND? I spun around and did a double take. What the…? Was that Gaara? Wow, he’s a lot hotter in person. I dropped my book. He looked me up and down. Then he spoke.
“Are you Kisha?”
I looked at him stupidly.
“Um yes?”
“You're coming with me.”
“No I am not.” I shot back.
“Do you want to bet?” He asked in such a way it made me just a little scared. However I didn’t back off.
“Yes I do.” I threw my book at him. Strangely the sand didn’t go up so he caught it. I internally cussed him out. He hauled me to my feet.
“YOU ARE coming with ME.” He emphasized three words like I was dumb.
“Don’t be a jerk or I’ll just leave.” I retorted.
He seemed to panic. “No! Don’t leave!” oh yeah I forgot Gaara had a tragic past… Sand wraps around my ankles. Great, just frigging great.
“Gaara, I won’t leave if you get this sand off of me. Okay?”
The sand slowly crept off my ankles. Now I had agreed to stay with him. You're really intelligent today Kisha.
“Now, lets not do anything rash.” He looked about ready to cry. I remembered that when he was little all the kids left whenever he came near them. I broke my own code. I did something rash.
I hugged Gaara.
