She ran inside as fast as she could
She threw the weapons in a black bag and hid it.
She took of the big shoes she was wearing
And burned them in her fireplace.
Her first murder was a success
But she now felt miserable.
When her team met up tomorrow
They would notice he was gone.
The only ninja with a Go-For-It attitude that never quit:
She had killed her own teammate, Naruto Uzumaki.
Her team met up the following day
And knew something was wrong.
“Naruto Uzumaki isn’t here?”
Said a surprised Kakashi.
“Let’s check up on the dobe.”
An emotionless Sasuke stated.
When they opened up his apartment door
They all got a shocking surprise.
Naruto Uzumaki, bloody and cold
Was laying in the middle of the floor.
She didn’t wan’t to blow her cover
So she started to cry.
Even Sasuke, cold and emotionless
Looked as shocked as when his family was murdered.
“Oh my god,”
Kakashi sadly stated.
“He’s frozen, not a hint of warm,”
Sasuke said, sounding as if he were going to cry.
She just stood there, staring at her fallen teammate
She froze in her tracks.
Right in one of Naruto’s scratches
Lay a solemn pink hair.
While Kakashi and Sasuke were outside the door
She took the hair and hid it in her headband.
When the two males returned
They had Lady Tsunade with them.
Naruto’s funeral was on the next day
Hinata was crying like crazy.
“Whoever killed him will pay, Hinata.”
Kiba said, half mean, half reassuring.
No one knew why or who killed Naruto
Only Sakura Haruno knew.
She only had one reason:
He got in the way of Sasuke.
