The next day at the new students’ house…
Everyone was just waking up for their first day at the new high school except Kankuro; he was still sleeping soundly in his bed ignoring the ringing alarm clock. Temari had to go wake him or they would all be late.
“Kankuro, wake up we’re gonna be not on time!” yelled Temari
“Five more minutes.” he said sleepily
“No, get up!” she screamed jumping on his bed
“Fine, but can you get off me?” he yelled pushing Temari to the floor
They both came downstairs for breakfast to find that Gaara was already awake. He never really slept that well at night.
“How nice of you two to show up.” Gaara said yawning
“Someone’s not a morning person.” teased Kankuro
“Shut it puppet boy.” replied Temari as she bit into her bagel
“I hope the people in the school aren’t losers, I hate losers.” said Kankuro
“Are you going to school like that?” asked Gaara
“Why would I wear a silk nightgown?” asked Temari
“Because if you don’t hurry that’s what you’ll be wearing.” replied Gaara coldly
“I’m driving you brat!” screamed Temari trying to hit Gaara
“Well go get dressed then.” he said laughing
“Gaara has officially lost his mind, he’s laughing.” said Kankuro
They all got dressed in a hurry. Gaara had a white tee shirt with a kanji on it that meant ‘love’. Kankuro had a striped shirt with blue jeans. Temari had a short blue dress on.
“Temari, I thought you weren’t going to school in your nightgown.” said Kankuro jokingly
“Do you want to live?” said Temari agitatedly
“Come on sis, I was just joking around.” he said laughing
“Can both of you shut up?!” yelled Gaara
“I hate to see him react to those kids in school.” they both said
They all get into Temari’s Land Rover and drove to school. When they got there all the students were acting crazy.
“I was right these kids are losers.” said Kankuro
“We’ll see you later Gaara, since you’re a sophomore and we’re juniors we have different class schedules.” said Temari
“Sure, let’s go with that.” replied Kankuro
Gaara stumbled through getting to his first class which was math.
“Class,” said their teacher Baki, “We have a new student named Gaara.”
“Thanks for putting me on the spot.” said Gaara to himself
Immediately everyone turned to look at him. Gaara, embarrassed turned bright red. After class Gaara sees a girl walk up to him.
“Hi, you’re new here?” she asked
“Yeah, who wants to know.” he replied mysteriously
“Name’s Tenten.” she said
“I’m Gaara. Can you tell me where my next class is?” he asked
“Sure I’ll walk you.” she said replied smiling
Tenten walked to Gaara with his next class science.
“Here we are. When this class is over you can meet me at my locker which is down this hallway.”
“Okay thank you.” he replied
Gaara walked into his science class and took a seat. The Kakashi walked into the room five minutes late.
“Why are so late?” asked Sasuke
“I forgot I had to come to class.” answered Kakashi
“This is the science teacher? He’s kinda crazy.” thought Gaara
“That reminds me we have a pop quiz today,” Kakashi said smiling, “But our new student Gaara doesn’t have to take it. Well actually, everyone that paid attention during my lecture doesn’t have to take it, which leaves one person Hinata, that doesn’t have to take the quiz.”
“Great, I’m gonna fail.” said Sasuke
“No you’re not. We studied, remember?” replied Hinata
“Very funny, you don’t have to take the quiz.” he replied
“You’re good at science, and you always get good grades.” she said reassuringly
The whole class except Hinata and Gaara took the quiz. Instead Hinata helped Gaara so he could catch up. When class was over he went to go meet Tenten at her locker.
sneaking up on Tenten he said “Hey.”
“Aah! You scared me!” she yelled
“Sorry,” he replied, “didn’t mean to scare you. Are you ready?”
“We have lunch together.” she said pleased
While they were walking together they saw Kankuro and Temari arguing.
“Hey look it’s the little monster, Gaara.” whispered Temari
“Hey Gaara,” yelled Kankuro, “who’s the girl?”
“Who are they?” asked Tenten
“I have no clue, maybe if we walk away they won’t say anything.” he said acting as if he didn’t know Temari and Kankuro
“Why did he do that?” asked Kankuro genuinely confused
“Maybe because you’re an embarrassment.” replied Temari hitting him in the back of the head
Tenten and Gaara continued to walk to lunch without any further interruptions.
“You can come sit with me, Neji, and Lee.” she offered
“Okay.” Gaara said sitting down
“You must be Gaara.” supposed Neji
“Yes, I am.” he answered back
“Well I’m Neji Hyuga, class genius.” he responded
“And I’m Lee most likely to succeed.”
“Oh don’t be so modest.” said Tenten sarcastically
“You’re coming to my house party, aren’t you?” Lee asked
“Of course we are.” replied Tenten with a smile
After lunch when they were walking out of the lunchroom someone collided with into Gaara.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to knock everything out of your hands.” apologized Hinata as she picked up his books
“That’s okay. Accidents happen.” he said quietly
