"Hey, a five dollar bill!" Naruto said, stooping down in the street to pick up the money. It was green, and crumpled, just like the rest of the paper money that used to be in his pocket. But, while he was shopping for instant ramen, someone pickpocketed him. How humiliating. A ninja being pickpocketed. Ugh. "I'm gonna go to Ichiraku and get me a bowl of miso ramen with pork!" The blonde kitsune shouted happily to no-one, and ran down to his favorite restaurant.

SLAM. Sasuke Uchiha slapped his shot glass on the bar counter with a clatter. "Hey, careful, kid. You could break the glass." "Whatever..." Sasuke groaned, the slightest slur in his voice. He poured more sake into the glass, and chugged it within a second. He didn't notice an orange blue bounce into the stool next to him. "HI, SASUKE!" Naruto half-shouted. Sasuke grunted like an ape in response. "ONE MISO RAMEN WITH PORK, PLEASE!" Naruto shrieked, slapping the fiver on the counter. Sasuke grabbed his head in agony. "God... please, be quiet, dobe..."

Naruto ignored this comment, and fidgeted as he waited for his meal. As soon as the bowl came into view, the boy grabbed the bowl, snapped up some chopsticks, said a quick 'Itadakimasu!' and was slurping noodles like there was no tomorrow. Sasuke stared stupidly at the boy scarfing down noodles and meat. Now that he thought about it, he was kinda hungry. He peered into his shot glass as though there was a million dollars at the bottom. After a minute, he set the glass down and asked, "Hey, can I have a little? I'm sorta hungry..."

Naruto stopped in his gorging of the food and looked at Sasuke. "Uhhh... sure." He handed him a pair of chopsticks. The Uchiha grabbed the utensils and grabbed a noodle with them. He slurped it up quietly, while Naruto was making the loudest slurps ever to be recorded in history. Sasuke snatched up another noodle, and slowly began to eat it. After a few seconds, he noticed that the noodle just wouldn't slurp. He looked up, and came eye to eye with bright blue orbs.

The blonde blushed slightly. "Oof gomf erst." He mumbled, meaning to say, "You go first." Sasuke, somehow, understood this and edged forward. The man behind the counter just looked away. Soon, the two boys were in a liplock. Sasuke's eyes fluttered open, and he pulled away. "Erm, uh..." He stuttered, but it wasn't because of the sake. Naruto chuckled slightly, and looked down. "That was..." He started, but Sasuke finished the sentence. "Cool..." The two boys looked at each other.

"Hey, Naruto..." Sasuke said shyly, taking the other's hand. "Uh-hunh?" "Maybe we could do something sometime?" Naruto shrugged, and his usual smile returned. "Yeah, that'd be fun! Hey, how about we head to my place and go watch a movie or someth'n?" Sasuke smiled back. "Okay." The two boys stood up and walked off, hand in hand.

The shop owner just smiled and shook his head. "My mother always told me that money can't buy love. Well, mom, you were wrong."
