Story notes: i don't own naruto. duh.
"Hinata, did you hear? Naruto-kun comes home today!" Tenten exclaimed happily.

Of course she was happy. Naruto had not been to Konoha in two years.

"Really? I-I had no idea. Thank you, Tenten." Hinata lied, standing up from the bench in the park. She had been counting the days for Naruto to come home. She walked with Tenten to the Gate to welcome Naruto and Jiraiya.

"He's been training with the guy he calls Ero-Sennin." Tenten laughed.

"I think he's really strong now. After all, Jiraiya is one of the legendary Sannin." Hinata said. Hinata had been training, as well. She was now an A-Classed ninja. Her best friends, Kiba and Neji, had taught her not to stutter.

----------------ENTRANCE GATES-----------------

All of Naruto's friends awaited anxiously for them to open the door. Jiraiya-sensei slammed open the door, waving zealously. Behind him sauntered an amazingly hot Naruto, much different than when they last saw him. Hinata swore she could hear everybody's breaths taken. Everybody cheered and went to hug him. Hinata was one of them.

Too bad Sakura got there first.

"Naruto-kuuuun!" She yelled fangirlishly, clutching him to her chest. He grinned broadly and returned the embrace.

"KAWAII!" All the girls crooned. All except Hinata.

When Sakura let go of Naruto and walked away, Hinata seized her chance. She walked up to him, flashing around her long, midnight indigo hair. Her eyes were even more deep than they were before.

"Hinata?" He appeared stunned. She faked a shy blush. "You look amazing." He let slip. Hinata beamed at him.

"You don't look so bad yourself." Hinata was eyeing his new body. He no longer wore those unflattering orange jumpers; but baggy jeans and an A-Shirt. He was toned perfectly and his face had lost that goofy look. He was more serious; strong.

"Yeah," He ruffled his hair up. "Listen, Hinata," The vulnerability in his voice had commanded her attention.

"Hmm?" She nearly moaned, biting her lip.

"D-do you want to go out with me?" He spat out rapidly. Hinata beamed.

"Love to. Ramen bar, 8:00. Don't be late." She controlled herself. Naruto had noticed that.

Wow, Naruto asked me out! Time for a party! Inner Hinata danced around in her head and flipped.

------------------RAMEN BAR-------------------

Hinata came fashionably late by about 5 minutes. She saw Naruto sitting by himself, tapping his fingers impatiently on the bench. She snuck up behind him and covered his eyes.

"Guess who?" Hinata said semi-loudly. Naruto looked behind him.

"Hey, cutie!" He said warmly. He hugged her for a split second that seemed to last forever.

Cutie.... She blushed intensely. She had not yet completely solved her "shyness" problem.

"Sit down! I'm paying." He gave her a seat dangerously close to his. If you call sitting next to someone dangerous. She sat down nervously. The chef came up to them with a beaming smile.

Naruto's hand snuck up to hold hers. She looked at him. He was beaming at her. She smiled to herself and looked at her free hand.

"Seven bowls each of your best ramen; pork for me, chicken for her." He tightened his grip on her hand playfully. She smiled at him.

I love chicken. Wow. Random. She thought.

The fourteen bowls came by fast. Hinata was extremely hungry; she had starved herself to look better for Naruto. She wolfed the first three down until she saw the surprised look on Naruto's face. She immediately stopped and looked the other way. His hand released hers and was placed on her shoulder.

"Try mine." He picked up some noodles with his chopsticks. That he used.

"O-okay." He dipped it into her mouth and let the noodles go. Apparently, this was a mistake because the noodles splatted on her eyelid. They both laughed loudly.

"I'm sorry," Naruto said between bursts of laughter. Hinata giggled.

"It's okay." They both ate their own ramen and held a three hour long conversation.

After the date, Naruto held Hinata's hand again and led her out of the ramen bar.

"I had a really nice time." Hinata looked down in shyness. She shot her eyes up. "Naruto-kun..." He put his finger to her lips.

"Shh..." He removed his finger and brushed his lips against hers. She pushed herself in while Naruto nibbled on her bottom lip. She decided not to wait, and her tongue wandered freely around his mouth until he tore himself away.

"Goodnight, Hinata-sama." He nodded and she turned away. He stared after her, feasting his eyes on her low-cut dress.

I didn't know she had a Kanji that says "Love" on her lower back..

"That's hot." He said aloud. Hinata was out of earshot, but Kiba and Neji heard every word.
