Dirty gray sandals sprinted along the sand worn path of Sunagakure. Along those sandals was two fishnet covered legs. Further up the legs were navy shorts and a kimono-like shirt; it was pink and tied with an eggshell colored obi. Past the clothes was sandy blonde shoulder-length hair. It was unruly and leaves stuck out from all angles. The owner of the hair, a wide eyed, seven year old kunoichi in training, was trying to get home.
Her name was Temari, and she was just trying to get home.
The girl took a sharp left and slowed to a jog, taking in the imposing shadow of the Kazekage’s mansion. She should have kept running. Temari smiled toothily and grinned at her home. She had been training, working on discovering her element, when the sun was chased away by the moon. So Temari was rushing back home to her scary brother, her whiny one, her dead mother, and neglectful father.
Temari took a right smirking as the door came into view, when an impossibly cold hand grabbed her forearm. Startled, Temari launched a kunai at the arm, and its owner sidestepped the weapon, giving her arm a sharp twist. Fire shot up the limb, and Temari opened her mouth to scream in pain, but was unable as the hand yanked her into the ally. Surprised at the move, she lost her voice, but quickly found it again when her head bounced off of a hardened sand wall. Temari let out a pitiful wail that she knew wouldn't do anything except echo teasingly around her.
She opened her eyes and focused them on her attacker. She quickly found a distinction, and burned it into her mind, for future reference.
He had beautiful, pale blue eyes.
“Don’t look at me!” He snarled voice impossibly deep.
‘Probably to go with those cold hands,’ Temari thought.
He bashed her head into the wall again as punishment, and Temari lost focus. She couldn't think, her mind was trapped at the edge of consciousness.
A hand tugged at her shorts.
