A little red head girl with a head band over her forehead was sitting on the swings watching other kids play soccer. Just then a boy with red hair walked by the kids screamed and ran away.

She just blinked. “Hi there I’m Usagi. What’s your name?” She asked in a cute manner as her sand colored dress blew in the wind. He sniffed. “I... I’m Gaara.” He said. “Don’t cry. I’ll be your friend.” She smiled.

She gave him a hug which put a smile on his face.

Boy those were the good old days. Now my life sucks ever since what Kazekage tried to do.

Usagi was called in to the Kazekage’s office when she was about 6 years of age. “Good you’re here. I need you to complete an A rank mission for me.” He said looking up from his papers. “What is it Kazekage-sama?” She asked. “Kill my son Sabaku no Gaara.” He said. “No I can’t I promised him!” She said trying to fight back.

“Then leave my village and never return.” He said back setting his papers down as the little girl ran away. She tried to find Gaara. No such luck. So she left. In tears all the way to the village that she knew almost just as well.

Konoha.

The team was training ever so hard. It was two on one. Ruri, Dai vs. Usagi. Usagi was holding Dai back with one hand and catching Ruri’s punches with another.

It was three more days till the exam every one of them was nervous. They decided the day before to rest and relax that day. “Guys mind if I practiced my kekkei Genkai?” Usagi asked.

Their eyes widened “NOT ON ME!” They both screamed. “I’ve been practicing I can control it now!” Usagi pleaded. They both just backed away. “Fine be chickens I’m tired anyways lets go for a walk.”

On the walk Konohamaru ran by. (Oh ya Team Seven, Eight, and Ten I believe will not be showing up in these exams you’ll find out why in the Story of a Girl fic I’m writing) “Hi Konohamaru-san!” Usagi said cheerfully and he stopped. “Usagi-chan!” He said glomping her.


“Usagi looks like someone likes you.” Ruri said teasingly. “Shut up Ruri he’s like my lil bro.” Usagi said as Konohamaru let go and ran forward running into someone.

Usagi blinked and looked at the man. “What’s with the makeup?” She could hardly recognize them. He just glared as he picked Konohamaru by the throat. “Hey let go of him you cross dressing weirdo!” Dai shouted.

“He’s not here yet Temari lets have a little fun with these brats.” The make up wearer said. “You can go ahead I have no part of this. “She stated.

Usagi was loosening her head band. “Usagi-nee-san your going to use that?!” Ruri said in a state of shock. “It’s my only choice.” She said in a monotone voice as the head band starts to fall down, but before it even got over her eyes someone spoke.

“Kankuro leave the kid alone.” A boy said with a cold voice. Usagi pushed her head band up to see him. She was in a state of pure shock. G…Gaara-kun?’ She thought.

Gaara had a cold glare fixed on Usagi. “Gaara….” She whispered silently. His glare only worsened on her. “Let’s go now.” He ordered and left. The siblings left. Usagi deep down felt like she died and went to hell.

Usagi put on one of her best fake smiles. “Guys I’m gonna go home and take a nap.” She told them and went home. Usagi laid on her bed tears pouring from her eyes. “I didn’t mean to hurt him so much.” She sobbed.

“Well… if me being alive is causing him pain then I’ll just…” She said as she dug into her kunai pouch. ’I only want you to be Happy…. Gaara-kun’ She thought.

She drove the kunai to her wrist only to find something stopped it. Sand. She blinked several times which helped make her vision less blurry.

’Sand, but then……. He doesn’t hate me….. ack! I’m so confused’ She thought.

Soon after she fell asleep unknown to her that she was being watched by insomniac aqua eyes. The next days training was brutal. Nothing really new about that so one to the exams!

They walked through the doors and blinked a couple times looking at all the fully qualified ninja. They were really the only rookie ninja there.

(I’m skipping the first exam because that one bored me writing tests are to much of a drag)

Day 1 of the Forest place

She instantly stopped when she heard a guy screaming for his life. She watched in horror. The Gaara she remembered would never hurt someone intentionally but killing them! She was becoming more and more afraid of him.

To her horror he turned around. Seeing her, standing there in fear. He motioned for Kankuro and Temari to leave. (Note remember the other rookies aren’t there) “G…Gaara-sama… its n…nice to s…see you a…a…again.” she said still in fear. He took a step forward she never even moved.

“So you’re afraid of me now?” He said emotionless, but his eyes showed a great pain. “Why’d you leave?” He asked. “I…I had no choice *tears form in her eyes* it… it was either that or I...I would have had to kill you I never want to hurt you!” She cried. His eyes seemed to.... soften? “Who ordered you such a task?” He asked his eyes hardening just as quickly.

“Kazekage…..” She said lowering her head in shame. She still hates herself over the fact she never stood up to protect herself and Gaara.

His eyes had even more hatred. He walked up to her a lifted her chin up so their eyes met. Usagi just blinked. “Aww... how cute two lovers, how about we kill them so they can be together forever?” A cocky swordsman from the hidden waterfall village stated to his two team mates. A girl with piercing violet eyes and a large crossbow, and a boy with an evil bloodlust in his eyes.

The girl flipped her short red hair behind her ear. “To bad the aqua eyes looks kinda cute.” She stated. The other boy then said “Ya and the red haired girl is hott.” (ok…. Ew……… lol)

Usagi got pissed at that hott comment. Her eye was twitching furiously as she made a move to slit his throat when suddenly she was stopped by the swordsman. “Trust me there’s n—“ He was about to finish but was cut off by sand surrounding him. “AHH!!! What the hell?!” He shouted.

“Sand coffin” Gaara stated as he crushed the ninja. The other two got scared and ran off leaving twin trails of urine behind them. (Hehe got that from Family Guy the ep where their in the old house and having that contest for Louise’s heart)

Usagi slightly laughed at those two cowardly acts. Gaara turned back around to face Usagi. There was some blood splattered on his face. She took a handkerchief she had and wiped the blood off with a smile.

She swore she could so a tinge of pink in his cheeks, but decided to forget about it. “Usagi-nee-san help me Dai is trying to RAAAAPPPEEE ME!!!!!” Ruri screamed running through the forest away from Dai.

’ Thanks for spoiling the moment Ruri.’ Usagi thought as she kept Dai away from Ruri giving Gaara a look saying ‘ I’m sorry maybe another time when there’s no pervy idiot around’

Preliminaries

(since team seven or any other genin are there which means only team Gai is there. Just letting ya know!)

Usagi saw Gaara on the other side looking bluntly at the other contestants.

(Oh ya since that means Oro is going after someone else with a incredibly useful bloodline limit which means………. RUN USAGI RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

“First match Usagi vs. Tsuchi Kin” Hayate coughed. Usagi jumped down excited to finally get a good fight. “So….. you actually think you have a chance against me?” Kin asked with her long hair just flowing. “Oh ya!” Usagi said pumping her fist in the air. “And I won’t even need my hands to do it!”

Kin was taken back. “What do you mean by that?” She asked. “Alright begin.” Hayate said as he stepped back. Usagi loosened up her head band enough for it to fall around her neck. Her third eye opened. It was different from her other eyes. Instead of black pupils it was the colour of red with black around.

“What the hell?!” Kin said as she drew a senbon ready to protect herself.

’ How intriguing…. She’ll be perfect…’

“That isn’t gonna help you, you know.” Usagi said as it blinked. “What the hell are you?!” Kin shouted in pure fear. “I’m a human dip shit.” Usagi replied. Usagi took a step forward causing Kin to back up into a wall.

“Stay away!” Kin shouted. She tried to throw the senbon but couldn’t move. “What the hell did you do?!” She shouted. “Your body is now under my control.” Usagi said coolly. “Crush your arm……” Usagi said as Kin’s one hand grabbed her other arm and started to crush it.

“Ahh! Stop it!” She cried. “Give up.” Usagi said. Without Kin even knowing she said. “Procter I give up!” She yelled then covered her mouth.

“Alright *cough* Usagi wins now to the next fight.” Hayate coughed. The random name genterator went off. (oh ya this means Lee’s team isn’t here) “Dai vs. Gaara” Usagi was in slight shock.

“Dai be careful.” Usagi mumbled to Dai. “No worries Usagi I’ll kick his pale sand ass!” Dai said with a grin. Ruri hit him. “You’re an idiot just go down there!” Ruri shouted.

Dai jumped down there. Gaara and an emotionless look on his face. “Ruri…. If I know Gaara he’ll kill him…” Usagi told her. “What no! I haven’t even kissed Dai yet! I mean uhhhhhhh……..” Ruri said.

Dai did his signature jutsu Summoning as a giant spider appeared behind him. “Heh this is over!” He said as the spider incased Gaara in its webbing. Just then the sand broke through it. “Ok maybe not.” Sand surrounded Dai. “What the?!” He shouted.

“Sabaku Kyu” Gaara said in a monotone voice. Usagi eyes went wide. I have to get this match stopped or Dai will die! Usagi thought.

Dai was encased in Sand. “Now die Sabaku Soso!” Gaara said as he enclosed his hand and the sand crushed Dai. Or did it? Usagi had stopped it with her third eye. “Procter please end the match. He’s badly injured.” Usagi stated as the sand fell to the ground showing an almost crushed Dai.

“Dai your alright!” Ruri shouted as med nins ran up quickly to take him away. “Okay then…. The next match Temari vs. Ruri.” Hayate coughed.

It was during the one month preparation. Usagi just lying on her bed trying to sleep. Feeling like she was being watched. She then saw an eye floating above her. “ok….. Gaara’s watching me….” She said aloud. She heard a hn like noise and turned around to see Gaara sitting in her window sill.

“Hi there Gaara-sama…” Usagi said with a smile sitting up. “Hello……” He said plainly. “So….. what brings you to my crappy apartment?” Usagi asked. “I can’t sleep….” He replied. “Oh ya… Sorry.” Usagi said. “It doesn’t matter.” He replied.

“I am really sorry about leaving Gaara-sama….” Usagi told him slightly bowing. “Quit calling me that…” He told her. “Hai!” She replied. “Ummmmm do you want something to eat?” She asked. “Sure…” He replied.

“I got cookies” She told him he slightly twitched. “Ummm sure…” He replied. She grabbed the box of cookies from the kitchen and went back to her room to see Gaara sitting on her bed. “Here…” She said handing him some.

He blinked taking one and biting into it. After about ten minutes of cookie eating it was around midnight. “Don’t you want to sleep?” He asked. “No that’s okay… I don’t get a lot of sleep…” She replied. “I see… I have a question…” He told her. “Sure go ahead…” Usagi replied.

“What’s the feeling called when you want to be near a certain person and your heart beats faster around them?” He asked. “Gaara…. I think…. You’re in love…” Usagi replied.

“Usagi vs. Kinuta Dosu.” He stated and Usagi jumped down* Finally! I was tired of waiting!” She shouted grinning. “KICK HIS ASS USAGI!!!!!!!!!” Ruri shouted pumping her fist in the air.


She activated her shihairyokugan (Controlling eye). “Hmm… all I have to do is keep my eyes closed not a problem.” He said closing his eyes. Usagi threw a punch at him but him catching it almost instantly. “Any sound you make I hear…” He said smugly. “ ya but what about the sound of this!” She shouted and the ground started to shake and rocks flew out from underneath them.


“See… after a while of training I figured out that I can control inanimate objects!” She smirked. “Damn!” He shouted being crushed by rocks.


“Match to Usagi.” The Proctor stated. She walked up the stairs without a scratch on her passing by Gaara. “Good luck Gaara-kun…” it slipped out she swore in her mind. Instantly a blush appeared on her face. “Hmm?” He said turning his head to look at her. “Uhhh… I said good luck Gaara…kun…” She laughed nervously.


A small tint of pink was on his cheeks but just as quickly it disappeared. They continued on their ways. Right as Usagi got up there a loud bang was heard. Everyone looked towards where the Hokage and Kazekage were. Smoke was everywhere. (In this he does not die! He retires and goes on a fabulous vacation to Hawaii!)


Usagi just as quickly jumped out there and kept herself hidden as the barrier was created. The smoke had cleared and there stood the Hokage and Orochimaru fighting. Just then she popped up in between them. “Ya go away snake fucker…” She said bluntly. He laughed. “Why should I listen to a child? A child with great power…” He said licking his lips. “Umm… Who are you again?” She asked rubbing the back of her head.


He slightly twitched. “Orochimaru…” He replied. “Doesn’t ring a bell” She grinned.

She was chasing after the people who she only knew as Sakura, Naruto and Shikamaru. Soon after she seen Shikamaru sleeping next to defeated ninja. “Lazy ass” She mumbled continuing on her way passing by a boy fighting Temari. She could only blink as she continued her travels.


(Dude I sound so lame T_T damn writers block)


She stopped. Seeing that Kankuro helping Gaara be able to move and she quickly hid from sight. Then that same boy that was fighting Temari arrived. Said some stuff that Usagi didn’t really pay attention to and was about to challenge Kankuro when a freaky boy with bugs appeared.


One of the bugs started to crawl over Usagi who shivered insanely.


’I hate bugs… I hate bugs…… Don’t scream!’


She was about to scream when it flew away. The bug boy started to fight Kankuro as Temari took Gaara and ran off.


(okay letting you people know….. this is following the series…… because it’s too boring if it’s not….. ^_^ sorry for the confusion I may rewrite this some day too and make it better)


Usagi continued to follow in secret as they stopped. Soon after she arrived she saw why everyone in the village hated him. For now he was part way of becoming Shukaku.


(okay…. Fight scenes are boring to me so…… skipping them now!)

Gaara just laid on the ground motionless. Usagi slowly walked over noticing breathing. “Get away……” He hissed which shocked Usagi.


“G—Gaara?” She stuttered. Step by step seeming to be in slow motion. A small glare appeared on his face. “My only purpose in life is to kill….” He stated so calmly in a monotone voice.


She was hurt, but never showed it. “Fine… then don’t think of me as anything… but I’m at least going to help you.” She stated confidently kneeling beside him. He was slightly shocked at how someone actually would have the courage to do that. Naruto had already vanished with the boy with chicken ass hair. (I had to put it XD)


“What are you doing?” He asked. “Helping out an old friend.” She said quietly starting to help bandage him up. Temari and Kankuro showed up right after she finished.


“…” Was all they said and picked Gaara up and left.


She started walking back to her house. Not forgetting the face she saw.


Weeks passed. She soon well not really but everyone guessed she had forgotten everything. People were still repairing but everyone was happy it was over. Ruri had finally given Dai the chance and started going out with him. Which as usual Usagi used against Ruri for black mail.


“Hey Usagi!” Ruri said running up to her. “Ya what is it?” Usagi asked tilting her head. “Me and Dai are leaving for the weekend with our parents to this small village that has like this spa… so we won’t be back for a while.” She said. “Okay…. Just don’t go and get pregnant with Dai’s kid.” Usagi smirked evilly while Ruri blushed madly.


“Well see ya” She said running off. Usagi went home and flopped on her bed turned on her radio and begin listening to some music.


“Why does it feel like night today?
Something in here's not right today.
Why am I so uptight today?
Paranoia's all I got left
I don't know what stressed me first Or how the pressure was fed

(And watches everything)” The radio sang as Usagi just listened while closing her eyes.

It's like I'm paranoid lookin' over my back
It's like a whirlwind inside of my head
It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within
It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin
I know I've got a face in me
Points out all my mistakes to me

Your paranoia's probably worse
I don't know what set me off first
But I know what I can't stand
Everybody acts like the fact of the matter is
I can't add up to what you can but” It continued to sing as it lulled Usagi to sleep.


“Everybody has a face that they hold inside
A face that awakes when I close my eyes
A face watches every time they lie
A face that laughs every time they fall
(And watches everything)” That was the last thing sung before someone in a shrouded cloak shut up off and walked towards the sleeping Usagi.


In Usagi’s Dream

A young two year old Usagi with bright red, happy eyes and short red messy hair was running around the front yard where she was being watched by her loving mother and father. The sky was bright and full of life. Until a large storm appeared at shrouded them all. A person tall, dark… (And Hansom! Just kidding just kidding) and horribly deformed walked up. Hidden beneath his shirt was a knife which he used to slaughter young Usagi’s parents.

She screamed as the blood spattered all over her face leaving her very frightened. The man then left without a word. Like it was planned or something. And poor little Usagi was left. Alone with no one to care for her. She sobbed so hard her eyes turned a duller red.

Out of Dream

Usagi was sweating slightly from the dream as she was in some tall person’s arms.
“Let’s hope she doesn’t wake up. “A short chubby looking type of man stated. “Yeah un. That’d be a problem.” The taller one said as they continued.
